Middle East Running Iranian threat news and discussion thread

See, this is why we won't need to invade Iran to beat them in a conflict; the Mossad has gotten so good at fucking with them internally that they could probably cripple the country long enough for someone to erase it's navy and air force before they got a coordinated response together.
That solution only works for a time. Its a delaying tactic. It can create a whole lot of delays, but its just that, delays. Stuff like that can make Iran much poorer, less capable, and more annoyed, but that won't make it any less stubborn in going for nukes, and that's not such a challenge in modern times technologically, even countries like Pakistan and North Korea (a country much smaller, poorer, and more heavily sanctioned than Iran) have them, and given time, Iran will likely also make some basic ones *eventually*, assuming it doesn't get bribed not to (or to pretend not to). Nothing short of invasion, or knocking the IRGC and Islamic Revolution out of the seat of power by other means is going to be a long term solution to this problem.

If someone wants to do a ground invasion of Iran, they better plan to do it without US boots on the ground.

The US might be able to justify an Operation Preying Mantis 2.0, but an actual invasion would never fly domestically.

Apparently that fake Nuclear Archive that Israel lifted from Iran was actually legitimate?

Only took Iran two years to admit it... Albeit surreptiously.

While Biden is chasing after Iran with wine and flowers, the Iranians show their contempt for his courting.

Unless Iran really buy few H warheads after soviet collapsed,i do not think that they could be danger to anybody with anything they are capable of doing.

Gun type bombs are very simple to build once you have the uranium enriched.

And dirty bombs bombs even easier and easier to get into an enemy cou try

The guy who replaced Sulimani just croaked, apparently from natural causes.

I'd like to know what caused that heart attack. It may very well have been natural, but the timing is interesting.

Well, maybe like in old soviet union - last world of known comrades who could not be oficially killed ,so they died from "natural" causes was "comrades,do not schoot"

Turns out the missile in question was likely a Syrian SA-5 Surface to Air missile that may or may not have been fired at Israeli aircraft, missed and then happened to land in the vicinity of the Dimona Nuclear area within Israel.

The IDF already responded with retaliatory Air strikes that struck several Syrian SAM batteries including the one that fired the original errant missile.

Syria reports only four soldiers were wounded from Israeli Air strikes on Syrian suburbs outside if Damascus and most of the Israeli ordnance was intercepted.

SA-5 has a really long range for SAM so it would be plausible that one would make it Dimona if it went haywire.
