Ahh yes, the Navy. The one thing the Northmen neglected. Why? Because one man died at sea so another decided that boats were evil. Not the smartest men, these Northmen are. Anyways, Arc II, begins!
~
It had been about a month, and not but a day after the Harvest and the snow was already falling. It was a short summer, so we can expect perhaps a seven month long winter, but this winter things shall change. I’ve already begun the creation of War Scythe’s, made in the Polish designs, however I do need one thing if I want to take Cape Kraken. A Navy.
You see, I don’t just want to take Cape Kraken. I want to take the Iron Islands and extirpate the Ironborn from the Island. I get it, Why would you wipe out an entire people? Didn’t you fight against such atrocities? Well, my plan isn’t to kill them, but to spread them out so thinly that the culture disappears. The North is huge, and the Ironborn population is small. Those who do not fight will be spread out through The North, and their children will grow up Northern, live northern, and will never see a coastline.
Meanwhile the Iron Islands will be populated with new lords, my Brother to be named lord of Great Wyke. The Rest of the Islands? Given out to anyone who shows worth during the Campaign. I don’t care if they’re Noble or Smallfolk, all will get a piece of the pie
My plan to build a navy was simple. I would build three Galleon’s built off the Spanish Galleon, one will be built out of Ironwood, and shall be the Capital Ship. There shall also be twenty Cogs built. This should be enough to capture the thirty something Longships stationed at Cape Krakens Harbor.
I also have begun orders for the collection of Charcoal and Bat Guano, whilst the Manderly’s have been ordered to set sail for Dragonstone, to colonize it with Northmen. I even allowed them to create a cadet house there. Of course, the Island isn’t named yet, though Lord Hewyn Manderly has suggested using the name ‘Wolf Island’, though I simply told him to name it Dragonstone, due to the fact Dragon’s are likely there. What? There are cases of dragons in that Area, so it would make sense that dragons do, naturally live there.
Speaking of Dragon’s, I’ve finally learned High Valyrian. It was hard, but I did it. It was akin to latin, in a way, though a bit less… refined, I guess would be a way to put it. I learned it in my plan to go to Valyria and find a way to get my hands on everything to do with the hatching of Dragon’s. I'm sure that I could sneak around and find some, though it will likely be hard, I’ll need to plan for the Voyage, and be careful. I’ll be playing with fire on the voyage.
Back to the matter at hand, Hewyn is suppose to send people to the mountaintop to collect Sulfur for me, so that upon creation of Gunpowder, I can create something beautiful. The Hwacha. Unlike Cannons and Rifles, I can use this without the southern kingdoms being able to overpower me with them copying it.
I also decided to create the Brigandine, which should defend well against the Ironborn. The Iron plates under the boiled leather were nice, though I did add chainmail stitched under a boiled leather sleeve, it should make up from a major flaw in it’s design. All in all, I pray that my plan works, Though I will have to wait and see.

Before you ask, No, this stuff is not already made, merely stuff that is being planned. The Manderly's haven't even set sail, which should be after the next chapter, which shall cover Brandon and his new wife. See ya then!
