For all of the news of interest regarding Apple (except maybe those biweekly released iPhones... blargh).
Apple has eschewed Intel for its POWERFUL NEW MACBOOK and other non-touchy touchy computer platforms, in some horrible effort or attempt to capture more of the laptop and PC market of which they thankfully only own 5% of at present.
That's 16 GIBABYTES... with a capital 16!
I can't wait to game on my new MacBook like it's 2010 with the fancy superior new M1 chip created with APPLE SILICON and...

But one downside is the Macs now only come with up to 16 gigabytes of memory.
That is half the amount of Ram the Intel-based version of the MacBook Pro offers and one quarter the amount the equivalent Mini goes up to. Video editing software and games are among apps that typically benefit from having more memory.
