United States Predictions of a Biden Presidency

Assuming that their win goes through, I see this going two ways.

  1. Biden holds with his campaign promises, he gets obstructed every step of the way by the legislature, he's miraculously even less effective than Obama. 4 more years wasted pointlessly.
  2. Biden backstabs the Leftists and the Social Media gurus in order to promote centrism in the cause of establishment cronyism.
The second possibility is the only option that does anything. The alternative is far too alienating, and will probably result in either civil war or social atomization.

The reason why the social media gurus have to be broken up is that, while they have backed Biden to the hilt in the election, they did so via oppressive censorship, thus demonstrating their power. No self-assured state will stand for that level of autonomous power within their own borders. By apparent coincidence, it will be a very unifying and popular move all round.

If the Republicans take the House and Senate, as they might, then it would force Biden to negotiate with the Republicans, thus forcing a slight form of reconciliation.

If Biden doesn't alienate the Far Left, and indeed attempts to uphold his campaign promises along the lines of Social Credit systems, then you will likely see a massive decay of federal control over the country. Partly due to mass civil disobedience (think draft-burning), partly due to local government seeing autonomy as their path to popularity and power (think Second Amendment shelters). People like AOC talking about making lists and holding Truth & Reconciliation Commissions doesn't help this, as no one knows who would be targeted by the purge.

Both those options are skeevy. Number 2 even skeeter than the first. I think I've been spoiled by the last few years.

I think there's momentum for Google to be broken up in an anti-trust action by the US government. Both the Republicans and Democrats are in favor (even for different reasons) and I think this election will only add fuel to the fire.

I genuinely don't think Biden will make it through all four years. It was readily apparent during the primary that the media was pushing Harris as the anointed leader of the party....only for her to be wrecked. Her as VP is the best case scenario, considering how seemingly unpopular she was, even among Democrats.

Uh. Executive actions galore?

I do think there's going to be a lot of resentment in right wing circles. A resurgent Tea Party type movement? Something else? No idea.

Kamala Harris: Biden administration would reverse several Trump policies on Palestinians

The Democratic vice-presidential nominee has pledged to restore aid to the Palestinians, and reopen the U.S. consulate in eastern Jerusalem and the PLO mission in Washington.

Vice-presidential candidate Sen. Kamala Harris (D-Calif.) said a potential Biden administration would reverse several moves by the Trump administration regarding the Palestinians.
“We will take immediate steps to restore economic and humanitarian assistance to the Palestinian people, address the ongoing humanitarian crisis in Gaza, reopen the U.S. consulate in East Jerusalem and work to reopen the PLO mission in Washington,” she said in a recent interview with the Arab American News,

In other words, they'll reward Palestinian terrorism and refusal to negotiate in good faith.

I predict "fun times" ahead for my country if Biden wins.

Eh, that's one of the main complaints I have with the Trump administration. Part of this was moving the embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem. That was a massive mistake. The 'peace agreements' Trump put forward don't help either, as they do nothing to influence the religious fundamentalists.

Wrong on both counts. Both moves were long overdue. The Palestinian position is basically that they'll get the entirety of Israel and deport Israelis en masse (or genocide them, but they try not to speak about that publicly too much). Any move that will disillusion them of the dream of conquering """""""historic Palestine""""""" is a move that gets us closer to actual good faith negotiations for a realistic solution that could bring real peace.

How much does it affect the current arrangement Israel has with the rest of the Middle East afraid of Turkish and Iranian influence?

Will they split up and go back to using the PLO to bash their heads on you?

I don't want to delve too deep into this issue since it's off topic, but historically the Palestinians have always resorted to violence and terrorism when their political and economical prospects were looking good. A good example for that would be right before the Second Intifada in 2000, the Palestinian economy was prospering.

I think it's just their "win at any cost" stubborn mentality and heavy propaganda and history revisionism prevalent in Palestinian society, that has allowed them to keep their conquest agenda alive for 70 years instead of building up what they can. This is also fueled by the left both in Israel itself and in the west. For any real peace prospects to emerge, the Palestinian hope of brutal conquest must first be crushed, then a 2-state solution can truly be negotiated.

I'm not against true humanitarian aid to Palestinians in need provided it's not pocketed by corrupt officials or used for military buildup (i.e. offensive infiltration tunnels in Gaza). It also has to be conditioned on the PA stopping it's abhorrent behavior, encouraging terrorism, extreme propaganda reminiscent of North Korea, etc.

In regards to the UAE, Bahrain and Sudan, those countries have started to understand that the Palestinians are an ungrateful and extremely corrupt bunch, and throwing money at them won't help solve their problems. I don't think flooding the Palestinians with American humanitarian aid will affect those relations (but I also doubt it will reach many families in genuine need either).

Now that I've explained my thoughts on the matter, let's get back on topic, please.

If the republicans hold the senate, at least 2 and probably 4 years of obstruction. Dems won’t be able to pass anything too significant, for every left leaning executive order Biden will make the Supreme Court will make a right leaning judicial decision. Mitch McConnell, assuming he’s doesn’t die, will stop the appointment of liberal Supreme Court justices. Decent chance of him trying to change things so that a super majority is again required for appointments. Mid term elections usually go against the party in office, so taking the house is on the table for the republicans.

Biden gets nothing.
The republicans hold the Senate. If they don’t it will by one vote. One vote that knows expanding the supreme court is unpopular.
Try going back to MI or whatever state and explaining why you’re giving money for repairs to stuff people burnt. When Flint still needs money.
The senate needs to approve any treaty so Biden signing the Paris accords isn’t worth the paper or ink it will be printed on.
I expect a whole lot of nothing and EOs

I so hope to see what it'll be like for sleepy Joe to conduct negotiations. Will he get an ear piece to help him out against foreign elected leaders too?

Some mental stimulants in case someone pulls a fast one on him?

There are two possibilities:
1.Biden follow leftist, they still replace him with Kemala, who try made USA commie state. She fail, next election is win by Republicans.
2.Biden see writing on the wall, and made deal with Republicans.Nothing change.

I think, best think for USA is Kemala as president - she could not change USA,but all people there would become anti-commie ,so next few terms would be good for USA.

Unfortunatelly, all or most american allies would be thrown to wolves, and since i live in Poland,i am not happy with that.

This may sound a bit extreme, so feel free to categorize it as a worse-case scenario. Personally though, I expect this to be the inevitable outcome of a Biden presidency.

Biden retires within a year, and Kamala Harris does her level best to dismantle every American institution she can get her hands on, while also selling our country out to China, and conducting a military invasion of at least one Middle Eastern country; most likely Iran. We're looking at four years of the Democrats scrambling to undo everything Trump did, and ensuring that nobody else could do what he did ever again. They will block the release of a Corona Virus vaccine (in the name of not wanting to let a rushed drug potentially harm the American people) and deliberately tank the economy with endless lockdowns, driving us into another Great Depression; because doing so will grant them a mandate to basically do whatever they want, in the name of saving the country. They will ensure that we all have too many other problems to deal with to remember how they cheated their way to power which, having gotten away with it, will mean they will do so in every election for the foreseeable future. What was once extraordinary actions born of desperation, will become routine, while anyone who complains will be censured, silenced, attacked, and imprisoned.

The Republicans in the Senate will not be able to stop her either, because she and the rest of the Democrats will simply ignore them; they will have already destroyed the legitimacy of the voting process, so the next logical step would be to discard any pretense to our system of governance having any sort of checks and balances against the abuse of power whatsoever. I mean, we're talking about a party that already sees no issue in rejecting the idea that Republican-controlled parts of the government holds any power to compel them to do anything, and ignoring the law when it suits them; even direct order from the Supreme Court. They have no scruples anymore; they will make a grab for dictatorial power. Then there's the fact that a large portion of the Republican party is content to be nothing more than controlled opposition for the Democrats; they don't want to stop them.

In short, you can kiss the American dream goodbye, as well as any hope that things can be fixed by working within the system.

Observation of both far left and right-wing places is very, very educational. As often (but not always) is the case with such emotional tribal conflicts, the truth lies in the middle.

We can expect boring, centrist administration. Great. If the Senate is Republican, almost nothing will be done, and from a pro-business perspective I would be very happy with that. An administration finally doing nothing is better than reasonably imaginable alternatives.

With Democratic control over the Senate, we could expect higher taxes and more social expenses in the US, also more left-wing courts, and that would be indeed unfortunate.

I don't know with the GOP, maybe something will happen for Biden should there be new evidence to start an impeachment over Ukraine.

They are in the position the Democrats were in against Trump.

Yeah, but the GOP doesn't have the same backing of News Media and Tech-Giants

Hell, I doubt even the legit Republican Businessmen on their side who actually do believe in stuff like free speech and free trade and such, could have much influence

But he won't be gone, he'll still be alive, so will his supporters

They'll be people to find and do stuff to

Can't afford another Trump, gotta find anyone who remotely supported him or anyone who remotely went against the Far Left

Have to intensify what's taught in the schools and universities after illegalizing homeschooling

Have to increase the "rules" for what can or can't be allowed in certain platforms and publishers, with those corporates agreeing to find out these guys whose money they can live without

Plus, it's not as if all those people who bought guns will actually use them, if anything they will surrender them

"Soft Power" can do more than "Hard Power" ever could. Getting people to hand the whip over to you is a better show of power than simply using said whip to force them to do what you want.
