Going to post about "Zombie" Movies & Media in this thread. Not my favorite genre, but it's certainly a distinctive one if not played out a fair bit. And enough interest and stories pop up I feel a thread might be appropriate, just like I did for Horror Gaming.
Anyways... an article to launch things off.
28 Years Later is the sequel you didn't know was coming out, or that anyone wanted, but Danny Boyle (and Alex Garland) are returning to the franchise that helped launch their career... almost 28 years ago themselves (28 Days Later came out in 2002 actually). I guess they're skipping any idea of pursuing the story 28 months after the fact, which is unfortunate.
Can't say I'm particularly excited for it, but it could be very good. Who knows? 28 Days Later was really good and definitely a benchmark film in the zombie film genre and while 2007's 28 Weeks Later tried to tell a bigger story and IMHO failed for the most part, it too had a lot of nice moments within what I feel was a very average sequel.
