Zombie Movie & Media Thread Time

Going to post about "Zombie" Movies & Media in this thread. Not my favorite genre, but it's certainly a distinctive one if not played out a fair bit. And enough interest and stories pop up I feel a thread might be appropriate, just like I did for Horror Gaming.

Anyways... an article to launch things off.

28 Years Later is the sequel you didn't know was coming out, or that anyone wanted, but Danny Boyle (and Alex Garland) are returning to the franchise that helped launch their career... almost 28 years ago themselves (28 Days Later came out in 2002 actually). I guess they're skipping any idea of pursuing the story 28 months after the fact, which is unfortunate.

Can't say I'm particularly excited for it, but it could be very good. Who knows? 28 Days Later was really good and definitely a benchmark film in the zombie film genre and while 2007's 28 Weeks Later tried to tell a bigger story and IMHO failed for the most part, it too had a lot of nice moments within what I feel was a very average sequel.

28 years later is basically gonna be Walking Dead..hmm idk how I feel about this

Infinitely better because you didn't have to sit through 28 seasons of The Walking Dead to get there. You just have to watch one movie... if you can be arsed to.

Walking Dead fell down hill after Beth died imo.

Yeah I stopped watching I think... when they retook Alexandria from Negan. Which... I'll admit is farther then I got with the comics. I just got to when Glenn died... spoilers!!!

Both kinda ended up more of the same journey into misery, just cast shuffling.

And with all of the spinoff shows (and maybe games) they might be approaching 28 seasons legitimately.

Finally the video I didn't know I ever wanted.

The video itself summarizes all of the games in just over twenty minutes.

I actually put a lot of time into the original Plants versus Zombie shooter. My main was the All-Star for the Zombie team and either the Sunflower or Peashooter for the Plants.

Nice to see Crazy Bob is actually an endearing Crazy Uncle with a Niece and Nephew he goes on adventures with. That's wholesome.

Also all of this nonsense apparently started due to the desire of eating a delicious taco. How tragic...
