"Of course'! Plus this'll make a good story for Caspian later...well, at least when he looses up a bit at the bar~" Sel'enca replied, giving a cheeky salute to her goddess as the servers brought over another drink to her goddess, her ridiculous attire standing out like a sore thumb.
"Great, then-"
Suddenly Viv's drink would disappear...then another. And another. And another as the servants almost seemed to panic trying to get the goddess a drink. Albeit, it wasn't hard for Viv to pick out what was going on, as Earon visibly was absorbing in the festive liquids with 'that' smile on his face. Truly the water god was among the more "interesting" gods that came around here, and even she as the goddess of the stars had to admit that the two had gone on many a fun adventure...much to Caspian's defeat. Haha! Though as she began to walk over to the sea god, Viv let her eyes wander the room in distant curiosity. There seemed to have been a mess with some kobolds, Artis seemed to get as excitable as ever, Big Bird seemed to give her the stink eye (or was that just their normal expression???), and...hmm, well well well, Vaad had seemingly taken an interest in someone, if the dull, lazy god's eyes staring at specific things hadn't already been a good indicator of his attention (of which he seemed to have little for these get-togethers). And shortly after, a certain Mushroom seemed to go in for even more food...and what was that? A crown of thorns he seemed to toy with for a moment before casting it aside....and then more?
Either the fungal god was toying about in thought...or, well, perhaps something of meeting of two minds was going on the background, hmm? Vaad only ever seemed to speak in such a dull manner to others anyways, whenever he did speak, so even such strange actions as what Lravitus did and even the most minute little mannerisms could sometimes tell so much potentially. Or could they? Did she know what was going on at a glance, taking a potshot guess, or was she simply being deceitful and toying with the thought? In the end, who knew what the truth was? She'd oft spent time visiting the other gods in times so far long past, and some had become her favorites for sure, but none could say she hadn't learned anything in all her millennia of existence.
Though she was listening in on Sahira and Earon as she approached them silently, Sel'enca in tow with a smile on her face.
"Earon, it is good to see you again! Ooh, and hello Sahira! You look amazing! Its been ages since we hung out together, though. How goes the search for that-?"
But Viv's words were soon cut off as she felt a certain presence enter the room.
Ah.
So the Eternal Fool (Sahira had helped her find that funny nickname a looooong time ago) had entered finally, eh? Shahrivar, as strong and brilliant as he was...well, shall it called "interesting"? Viv herself did not even flinch under the god's gaze, though she had always found his nature to be make visits to his realm so very nice. Well, unless it was one of those time where he looked like he was thinking 'My followers are idiots'. Sahira had seemed to enjoy her descriptions of when he was like that in the past, however.
Though certain gods seemed to not take kindly to the sun's arrival.
"Maybe ask for Vaad's help, Lravitus, and perhaps between the two of you the light won't be as blinding? After all, you both aren't very 'bright' yourselves, no?"
Of course she had meant it all in good faith, and sounded actually genuinely concerned and curious at that, since the two gods seemed at their most comfortable in the dark. Wouldn't they have some sort of ability to help with a situation like this? Something that they could wear to make the sun more bearable? Hmm...maybe her bestie would be able to think of something like that, which could block the hot rays from one'es eyes, when she visited her with food later! Yes, that sounded like a great plan!
Near The Grey Hawk, Off the Coast of Wadi al-Qamar
Ah, a port. The smell of the salty sea air, the sounds of people bustling about, and here he was walking about the crowds as a giant of a man wearing a very simple but rugged brown traveling cloak over his muscled physique and regular attire. The martial artist himself had been by these places many a time, including this port, after having traveled for so very long and so very far. Yet he could not deny his nature, his mission, that guiding star that had burned in his heart for so long. A fist of justice, to destroy evil where it lurked in dark corners and within sewers (at least where some places had those). It was a goal he would never relent from, a will that burned so strong even death would shudder before him.
Though a pair of familiar figures seemed to catch the immortal champion's eye as he neared the docks, curious what fresh fish might be for sale that he might buy for his breakfast.
One was clearly a figure not normal among the attire and citizenry of Wadi al-Qamar, and frankly his goddess and patron had talked about the man before a few times when she'd chatted with him in his mind. Caspian, was it? Sel'enca's drinking companion, even if grudgingly, and Avatar of the sea god himself. Further, having picked up on the words "new war", his interest was almost becoming laser-focused on the duo as he walked upon the docks.
He wasn't unfamiliar with Avatars of the gods, that much he could say, though the only chance he stood in battle was his immortality and fighting style honed for far more years than any other mortal had the privilege of having. This wasn't to say he'd win in some instant, if at all win, but he also was at least not defenseless by any means.
Frankly, he could never tell what hte result would be for such a theoretical situation as fighting an avatar. He'd only ever sparred with Sel'enca a good many times during the centuries, usually far from home so he could have a challenge for once. It was exhilarating, and he could at least appreciate the gusto and might of Viv's avatar. Surely she had been chosen well by the goddess, so long ago, and her character seemed to stand that test of time.
But back to the matter at hand...
"You speak of war, oh Avatars of the gods?" Kens said in a calm, pleasant tone as he made his final approach to Caspian and Zia, towering over them with such sheer size and musculature that one could almost mistake him for being a dwarfism-inflicted giant. Albeit, he knew better than to think physical size was everything in a battle...or just in general, based on conversations he'd heard in some pubs. His ever-stoic face looked down upon the two Avatars in its usual manner, though a small glint of curiosity rung in the man's eyes.
If there was a war to come, then there were people who would need protection and guidance in the days to come. Of course, if they merely spoke of the inevitability of war that was another matter. Even he had begun to see the patterns of such conflict in his lifetime, and it wasn't as if mortals were ever going to be perfect either. It was a sad truth, but one that he had been forced to accept during his quest so far.
