"Of course'! Plus this'll make a good story for Caspian later...well, at least when he looses up a bit at the bar~" Sel'enca replied, giving a cheeky salute to her goddess as the servers brought over another drink to her goddess, her ridiculous attire standing out like a sore thumb.

"Great, then-"

Suddenly Viv's drink would disappear...then another. And another. And another as the servants almost seemed to panic trying to get the goddess a drink. Albeit, it wasn't hard for Viv to pick out what was going on, as Earon visibly was absorbing in the festive liquids with 'that' smile on his face. Truly the water god was among the more "interesting" gods that came around here, and even she as the goddess of the stars had to admit that the two had gone on many a fun adventure...much to Caspian's defeat. Haha! Though as she began to walk over to the sea god, Viv let her eyes wander the room in distant curiosity. There seemed to have been a mess with some kobolds, Artis seemed to get as excitable as ever, Big Bird seemed to give her the stink eye (or was that just their normal expression???), and...hmm, well well well, Vaad had seemingly taken an interest in someone, if the dull, lazy god's eyes staring at specific things hadn't already been a good indicator of his attention (of which he seemed to have little for these get-togethers). And shortly after, a certain Mushroom seemed to go in for even more food...and what was that? A crown of thorns he seemed to toy with for a moment before casting it aside....and then more?

Either the fungal god was toying about in thought...or, well, perhaps something of meeting of two minds was going on the background, hmm? Vaad only ever seemed to speak in such a dull manner to others anyways, whenever he did speak, so even such strange actions as what Lravitus did and even the most minute little mannerisms could sometimes tell so much potentially. Or could they? Did she know what was going on at a glance, taking a potshot guess, or was she simply being deceitful and toying with the thought? In the end, who knew what the truth was? She'd oft spent time visiting the other gods in times so far long past, and some had become her favorites for sure, but none could say she hadn't learned anything in all her millennia of existence.

Though she was listening in on Sahira and Earon as she approached them silently, Sel'enca in tow with a smile on her face.

"Earon, it is good to see you again! Ooh, and hello Sahira! You look amazing! Its been ages since we hung out together, though. How goes the search for that-?"

But Viv's words were soon cut off as she felt a certain presence enter the room.

Ah.

So the Eternal Fool (Sahira had helped her find that funny nickname a looooong time ago) had entered finally, eh? Shahrivar, as strong and brilliant as he was...well, shall it called "interesting"? Viv herself did not even flinch under the god's gaze, though she had always found his nature to be make visits to his realm so very nice. Well, unless it was one of those time where he looked like he was thinking 'My followers are idiots'. Sahira had seemed to enjoy her descriptions of when he was like that in the past, however.

Though certain gods seemed to not take kindly to the sun's arrival.

"Maybe ask for Vaad's help, Lravitus, and perhaps between the two of you the light won't be as blinding? After all, you both aren't very 'bright' yourselves, no?"

Of course she had meant it all in good faith, and sounded actually genuinely concerned and curious at that, since the two gods seemed at their most comfortable in the dark. Wouldn't they have some sort of ability to help with a situation like this? Something that they could wear to make the sun more bearable? Hmm...maybe her bestie would be able to think of something like that, which could block the hot rays from one'es eyes, when she visited her with food later! Yes, that sounded like a great plan!

Near The Grey Hawk, Off the Coast of Wadi al-Qamar

Ah, a port. The smell of the salty sea air, the sounds of people bustling about, and here he was walking about the crowds as a giant of a man wearing a very simple but rugged brown traveling cloak over his muscled physique and regular attire. The martial artist himself had been by these places many a time, including this port, after having traveled for so very long and so very far. Yet he could not deny his nature, his mission, that guiding star that had burned in his heart for so long. A fist of justice, to destroy evil where it lurked in dark corners and within sewers (at least where some places had those). It was a goal he would never relent from, a will that burned so strong even death would shudder before him.

Though a pair of familiar figures seemed to catch the immortal champion's eye as he neared the docks, curious what fresh fish might be for sale that he might buy for his breakfast.

One was clearly a figure not normal among the attire and citizenry of Wadi al-Qamar, and frankly his goddess and patron had talked about the man before a few times when she'd chatted with him in his mind. Caspian, was it? Sel'enca's drinking companion, even if grudgingly, and Avatar of the sea god himself. Further, having picked up on the words "new war", his interest was almost becoming laser-focused on the duo as he walked upon the docks.

He wasn't unfamiliar with Avatars of the gods, that much he could say, though the only chance he stood in battle was his immortality and fighting style honed for far more years than any other mortal had the privilege of having. This wasn't to say he'd win in some instant, if at all win, but he also was at least not defenseless by any means.

Frankly, he could never tell what hte result would be for such a theoretical situation as fighting an avatar. He'd only ever sparred with Sel'enca a good many times during the centuries, usually far from home so he could have a challenge for once. It was exhilarating, and he could at least appreciate the gusto and might of Viv's avatar. Surely she had been chosen well by the goddess, so long ago, and her character seemed to stand that test of time.

But back to the matter at hand...

"You speak of war, oh Avatars of the gods?" Kens said in a calm, pleasant tone as he made his final approach to Caspian and Zia, towering over them with such sheer size and musculature that one could almost mistake him for being a dwarfism-inflicted giant. Albeit, he knew better than to think physical size was everything in a battle...or just in general, based on conversations he'd heard in some pubs. His ever-stoic face looked down upon the two Avatars in its usual manner, though a small glint of curiosity rung in the man's eyes.

If there was a war to come, then there were people who would need protection and guidance in the days to come. Of course, if they merely spoke of the inevitability of war that was another matter. Even he had begun to see the patterns of such conflict in his lifetime, and it wasn't as if mortals were ever going to be perfect either. It was a sad truth, but one that he had been forced to accept during his quest so far.

" See, now Intei knows how to address me. Why can't you be more like that, Earon? I know you interact with a lot of the other gods and sometimes you can forget how amazing I am, but that doesn't mean yo-"

It was at that moment, a chill shot down Shaira's spine. Despite the embodiment of light and heat walking into the room, Sahira was cold to the touch. Shahrivar's presence almost always did this to her. The deep resentment and hatred she held always manifested in this way. While the look on her face remained the same, anyone truly close to her would have noticed the change in her.

She turned around to greet the man, a fake smile now taking over her face. Initially, she was openly hostile to him, but after him never getting the hint, she has now simply resigned herself to fake persona when dealing with him.

"Oh Shahrivar, your... grotesque incandescence is forever the same. You know I always attend these. And you always come to these, very excited that I had shown up. Unlike many cycles, there is no change to this. Is this the eternal truth you have on repeat?"

Every. Time.

Like clockwork, Shahrivar would enter one of these parties and act surprised that she was present. How was something like that possible? Admittedly, nobody else was as aware of cycles as she was, but she assumed if it happened every time he would eventually pick up on it! Things like this only added onto her hatred of him.

"To what honor do I owe this visit, Affixer of Truth?"

Her desire to join Amenti was surely rising and the arrival of Viv did not mitigate her current agony.

"Ah, Viv, it is nice to see you as well. I'll be with you in a bit, I have important matters to discuss with Ear-"

Oh, she had left to go deal with Lravitus. Well, that was fitting for her. Sahira had no real problems with Viv, if anything, she enjoyed her company. Viv's ability to be easily excited reminded the Moon Goddess of her own avatar, though, Viv's was certainly far more...intense. Viv was someone Sahira could spend time with, but not too much time with. There needed to be break periods there.

Resolving her Viv distraction, Sahira turned her attention back to Earon and Intei.

"I'll assume your payment will be the festival then, Earon. Anyway, I don't really even need to bother checking. The mortal realm has been peaceful for too long. That alone is enough to conclude that some major conflict is brewing. I haven't checked enough into the details, but these things will become more evident in time. When they do, I'll be sure to alert Zia. I'd alert other avatars as well, but that becomes more of a timing thing, you know? They have to visit a temple and pray right as I notice it, as opposed to Zia who I can tell right away. Maybe they should spend more time visiting my temples, what do you think?"

Fluttering eyes and a bright smile followed after the girl's speech. With her hustling skill, one would think Sahira was taking lessons from Artis.

Near The Grey Hawk, Off the Coast of Wadi al-Qamar

"E-eh? P-please! Qades can be really gentle too! You just have to get her at the right moment!" Her face was certainly red after that compliment, and any proper composure she held prior was gone. Despite being the leader of a country and the avatar of a god, she wasn't actually all that used to receiving compliments.

"Hmm, I haven't heard anything of a war, but it is about that time, isn't it? You know I'd love to assist you Caspian, but I can't risk the people of Wadi al-Qamar if it is something simple. Our nations are lucky, they're free from Scarra's border. I have kept the peace between our countries, as well as peace with Phoebos' kingdom. I can not put them in jeopardy because of a war started on the other continent."

Despite her desire for peace for all, it was her job as ruler to prioritize her own people above all else. It pained her to say these things, as shown by the look in her eye, but this was her primary role.

"However, if things move on to a global scale, and the safety of my people comes into question, I will gladly pledge myself and my nation's resources to the cause. I can not risk their lives over a minor conflict, but I will not hesitate in doing what is right for the safety of everyone. I hope you can understand this, Caspian. "

The pained expression in her eyes remained, though they quickly returned to normal with the arrival of someone new.

"Ah, Kens! There is talk of future war, but we can still relish in the momentary peace we have right now! What brings you here to Erum? Did you come to try our cuisine?"

Sometimes, Amara felt, it really wasn’t worth making the effort of being a good goddess. There was so much work to do, her wounds ached all the damned time, and she had to go to events like this bloody council. But, it was her job, and after all this time, she was very used to doing her job even if she didn’t like it.

...it was the least she could do in return for Amenti and the mortals under her aegis, after all. Responsibilities upon responsibilities, but it really did seem to be like payment for services rendered earlier on in her life, didn’t it.

Walking into the Hall of the Gods, she could already feel the onset of a deep headache pounding deep into her mind. She dearly wished that Sterenna could come with her, but she said she wanted to visit some old friends down in the mortal plane, and what could she do to gainsay her? But, the desire only deepened as she took in the sights and sounds while she headed towards her usual place besides the Hearth.

It seemed that the usual entertainment of Tauphys cleaning up some of Koy’s followers who had wandered into the hall had already happened, though the Dancer’s typical posturing was still in place. Lravitus and Vaad stirring up trouble in the same old ways for the same old reasons was always fairly embarrassing to see for them, because it didn’t go anywhere, for all their grandstanding. And…

Oh dear, war, once more? Sterenna had always said that Earon’s Avatar had been a bright lad, and as such she took heed. Sahira’s corroboration, despite the usual attachments, only lent more credibility to such a prediction. She would have to talk to her Avatar about this as soon as she got back, to get the news to her people and those in need.

Thankfully, it seemed that Shahrivar’s appearance and usual antics with Sahira had taken up most of the attention in the room. As she took a plate of Pestocali’s catering, she whispered a quiet thank-you. It seemed that the meeting wasn’t entirely a waste, and maybe she could bring some back, to entice Sterenna into going next time.

As she sat down, sampling the food and doing her level best to not catch anyone’s eye, she pondered if anyone would actually care if she did some work while she took care of the Hearth.

...she dearly hoped that Sterenna was having a better time than her.

(quick note, Vaad was privately using Telepathy to communicate with Lravitus, externally he's been essentially motionless and inert with the exception of cringing when hugged by Artis and pointing his eyes in certain directions.)

The Hall of the Gods

The Shadowed Dancer glared as the kobolds started getting incinerated, and those kobolds who were part of her little circle suddenly found that the Dancer was between them and the fire god who was slaughtering the spirits.

"Enough." the form shimmered, becoming that of a flamboyant female duelist, rapier brandished. "Enough I say. En Garde!"

She hated it when her audience was destroyed by negligent gods who cared more for their own arrogance than others. That was one of the reasons she refused to kneel before any of them. Behind her, the instruments shifted as the Dancer glared coldly, becoming a forest of
vuvuzalas which immediately started blatting out an enthusiastic song.

"They are representatives of a God. Would you have me inflict the Song that Never Ends upon your worshippers for all time? That is the level of discourtesy you are showing." she continued, keeping between flameboy and the kobolds.

"They are things that do not belong here, Dancer. A representative is an avatar, or a facsimile and shade sent on a god's behalf. Kobolds are kobolds, and so they should be removed." Despite his blazing body his words were anything but heated, neutral and matter of fact as they often were during the calmer seasons, or during the discussion of work. This gathering, and his pest control too were just work.

His burning torch of a head slowly craned to the side in further confusion, tree bark snapping and crackling from the torsion and fire. "If you want to fight for some reason then ask me later. This is a peace meeting and that goes against the purpose of this meeting. Or does that mean that we should leave to battle, then return after we are done?" At this point he simply took to assuming that she challenged him as was part of her duties. The dancer performed and set up various scenarios that brought together ritualized combat. It was no different from beasts gathering to exhibit themselves, or collect mates was it? The notion of such courtship, so similar and yet... different from what he understood was still odd to him, and he never knew how to take the inevitable advances of the Dancer. Yet beyond any personal thoughts on the other god, it was only proper to respond in kind.

Really, it was exhausting to figure out when the others were acting properly, and when their actions that were seemingly logical ended up being espoused as having a different meaning... There was nothing to do about it.

"If a battle is proper as a result of burning away the intrusion, then let us battle."

His head returned back to its upright state as he himself straightened himself up.

Then came The Sun. Tauphys's flames blazed and roared in response as though trying to stave away the great light with its own. His head boiled, steam oozing out of his wood mixing with the crackling flames to create a violent haze. It was hardly anything compared to his aggression during the summer, but the slight shift from the presence of Shahrivar could not be denied. The offer of the Dancer in return responded to by the growing presence that sized her up that came from the tree.

But..

"But there are still some left, the cleaning is not done."

Ever the workaholic, ever the one who stared at his duties, even when they brought him at odds with the other gods.
The air of the conversation and the sparks yet uncleared, Tauphys abandoned the side of the Dancer without much thought, his focus and his own return of pressure fading into the air as if it never existed to begin with. Taking instead to approaching Earon with a wave. "Please step aside a moment." he spoke with the air of a housekeeper asking one to lift up their feet for a sweeping away of dust. The fact that his tool of cleaning was the Amenti-made spear that burned with, and burned away life did make the image a bit more threatening than it would have with a tool of simple straw however...

Well, it was enough fuel for those who whispered japes and took amusement from the Wild-God's conduct.

Though his path toward his longtime friend had him pass near Perzawlkhan, one could say he reacted in the usual manner.

That is to say, not at all.

The flames would have made some gods shy away. The expression would have made others from those that remained reconsider, and the gaze would have made those foolish enough to venture be ever more careful with their path.

In contrast, Empyreo continued along the way with his confident strides and carefree smile, humming to himself without a hint of nervousness.

Some would have thought it to be his pride. Indeed, the Sun was a prideful god as a matter of course, for had he not denied the Firstborn simply on the grounds that only he would decide that someone could stand above him? Had he not taken arms to both defend his claim and test the other as though he were in position to adjudicate?

The pride of the Sun God, the self-assurance of the Sun God, the arrogance of the Sun God, they were traits he displayed brazenly and without hesitation, no matter the situation.

For what is a god, if not arrogant?

However, if it had been his pride, he would have at least spared a glance or a word, for it was not a pride that belittled others.

No, this was simply the same old song and dance. He simply forgot about everything else the moment he caught sight his great friend.

Laughing upon hearing the Moon Goddess’ words, he replied earnestly.

“Well, it’s not like me to leave things like that and take them for granted,” He slapped her back in a show of camaraderie. “It is what makes every new day genuine in its own right, after all.”

Truly, a hopeless fool. However, at this stage and when addressed directly. . .

War on the horizon? Seeing something?

“Well it isn’t much like myself to be concerned about the lower world excepting given situations, but I do not think you need my eyes to see what is already happening,” He spoke plainly, snatching a beverage absentmindedly and taking it to his lips. “And a new war? Why, that’s been brewing since Azzy lost the fight all those years ago. It is inevitable.” There was a definite hint of fondness in his voice as he spoke the name of the Accursed Firstborn.

His eyes finally meandered in the direction of Sahira’s interlocutors after he finished saying his piece, just as he was taking a swing.

Then they widened, the liquid went down the wrong place and he coughed and hacked for a few moments.

“The two of you were here?!” His expression befuddled, he looked from Sahira to them and viceversa. “Since when?!”

The Shadowed Dancer rolled their eyes behind their mask. "If you used your head for something more onerous than keeping any hats you chose to wear in place you'd know that the kobolds are here bearing the lens of their God so that he could attend the meeting. Plus they were part of MY audience, and thus worthy to be here in their own right." they snarled, continuing to keep themself between Tauphys and the dispersing kobolds.

They were, after all, an entertainer first and foremost, and losing a happy audience always rankled with them. And, of course, Tauphys would never understand, would always misinterpret things through his own primal lens, and be completely incapable of understanding anything beyond his own narrow domain. Typical of all the elder gods, really, they were all far too primal for the young deities tastes. Although they could be fun, especially when things went WHOOSH right over their heads.

With the dancer guarding their retreat and Tauphys otherwise busy those behind her rapidly evacuate the area, giving small bows of thanks to the benevolent goddess. Their fellow kobolds in other parts of the room remain in their hiding places, still not eager to test their luck.

Meanwhile, a figure was on her way swaggering towards the hall, quite confused at the sight of various kobold spirits fleeing the scene...

"Well, Sahira. I could dress up my words as you'd like, but flattery was never my strong suit," Earon noted as he saw the light and warmth of Shahrivar's presence become reflected from the surface of Sahira's face. Again, he suppressed a smirk. An ally Sahira was, but it was nice now and then to see her become flustered by Shahrivar's sheer obliviousness, especially when it came to her obvious hatred for the other god. He listened to the sun god's words. He only confirmed what was blindingly obvious. A god of wisdom, he was not.

"Thank you, Shahrivar," he noted as he smirked over at the moon goddess. Fine. He would command that his followers hold a new festival for her. The look on her face was worth that much.

"You have my agreement to your terms, Sahira."

"You are not making the strongest case, comparing your manner with Qades," Caspian noted with a smirk, remembering the nature of that particular Avatar. Yet another threat to be vigilant of for he did not doubt that she would strike again, in time. Avatars had eternity, after all. Still, watching her innocent face turn beet red, Caspian allowed himself to enjoy this moment before becoming serious.

"I do not ask for your assistance in minor conflicts, Zia. Only trade in horses and expertise. If you cannot lend the expertise, I understand, but simply trading horses to us will not provoke war with anyone we may fight. As for an alliance when something major threatens us, that is all I ask for regarding military conflict. We can handle minor conflicts quite easily. We remain the premiere force in the Inner Sea."

As they were approached by a muscular man, Caspian felt himself raise an eyebrow. Yes. He could sense a deity's touch upon this person. Kens, one of Lady Viv's favorites. In truth, he heard naught but good things of him and his manner directly contrasted with his patron deity. If half the tales of his prowess were true...

"Kens. That is a name I have become familiar with over the centuries. Zia is correct. We have lived through an age of peace and plenty, but we cannot know when this age will end. I seek only to prepare for the unexpected... All of Ashariel was taken by surprise by the Wild Scourge, for example. Who knows what will bring war to the world next time?"

Lravitus paused the mental conversation with Vaad and craned his head to Viv. He didn’t know if she was referring to him and Vaad as stupid or to the fact that they liked the dark. He thought about it and decided that it didn’t really matter.

“Vaad is fine, it’s just that the light is bad for my complexion.”

Complexion? Frankly something that shirked from the light normally had no worries of "complexion" over that of "AAAAAAHHHHH IT BURNS" or "AAAAHHHHH I'M DYING FROM UV RAYS" or otherwise from her experience, but she supposed Lravitus was just rolling with the punches for now. Vaad, as ever, seemed to remain quiet as well. Frankly, she'd been ready for an offended rebuttal...anything to get these two to do something else. Though she supposed a little mix of prodding and curiosity would be good for now, in part at least. However, this was supposed to be a nice little peace meeting, yes?

'By the way, let us all be on our best behavior here, hmm? No need for subtle talks or potential sneaky deals, or thoughts of forming some inner circle, all made and struck in the dead silence of the background. That is just no fun at all~' Viv said via her thoughts to Lravitus and Vaad, after finally feeling out and briefly pulling herself into the mental 'comms channel' the duo seemed to be using to send thoughts to each other. At least now that she actively moved to feel it out, rather than just reading the room or such this time around. Her tone in the message was as whimsical as ever, though a certain much darker and unnerving factor seemed to exist just underneath all of that.

Viv then cut her brief mental connection to the other two gods, and began to visibly walk away in a carefree manner.

The two could interpret her very brief intrusion and message as they wilt, as she didn't care one bit herself about that matter. Just a little reminder was all she was here to give, since the gods sometimes seemed to forget things like that on occasion. Albeit Intei at least stepped in to make things a bit easier on the Mushroom God, which was all fine and dandy as well. She was well used to all of this by now, albeit being far from blind unlike some among those "elves" of Sharivar's. Ah, but Shahrivar was being as amusing as ever himself , as evidenced by the audible and sudden 'exuding' of drink along with the sun man's shocked tone. Besides, there were a few things she wanted to go about as well, and leaving Sel'enca near Earon and company wasn't a bad thing either.

Viv walked over to The Shadowed Dancer, putting a hand on their shoulder and giving them a friendly smile.

"Dancer, dear, i believe i can see where you and Tauphys are coming from here. I do know how you enjoy your music and audience, and i much enjoy a good tune or two as i go about things. A little jovial enjoyment isn't a bad thing at all! Gods can indeed seen representatives as well to help things along.

Though mind that even Avatars are just here since they are extensions of the gods, and this is the realm of the gods for a reason. Out of a sense of formality and acceptance of the accords we are here, and our avatars if we feel so inclined.

Yet to those such as Tauphys and such, someone bringing in non-avatar mortal creatures is seen as 'disrespectful'. As in, we are here and do not intrude physically upon the mortal realm, and they are not to be brought here as living mortals, yes? Whilst we are celebrating here, there is a certain level of respect that must be paid to the occasion, no?

We wish to make all, ah save for Azahiel admittedly, comfortable here! So perhaps your kobold friends could be hosted in someplace such as your domain? Surely they would be safe there, of course, and Tauphys would not be able to touch them."

An attempt to be...diplomatic, perhaps, about it all? The youngest gods that had come about seemed to run around wild, still in that phase of maturity that the elder gods had long been through and moved past. Which wasn't to say they could not have their own opinions, but being younger the younger gods inevitably had a certain "naivete" and those "woooosh" moments when certain things went over their heads or failed to register as important. The past could not simply snuff out everything, nor could the future just cast aside the primal forces that had made it and maintained it at its very core.

At times it almost seemed to her like she or others seemed to have to step in to avoid an elder-younger god conflict to erupt in the Hall of the Gods itself. Of course at times she didn't intervene because it was amusing, but in this case having the Dancer going against Tauphys would be....mmm....not preferable at this time to put it simply. She liked both of them in their own ways, anywho, though another war coming out sooner or later seemed inevitable for one reason or another. Oh well. At least such a thing would keep Kens busy, and allow him to further travel down his path! That was always amusing to watch at certain times indeed. She'd even thought about using her authority to record down a visual record of those battles, and sell them to the other gods! "Furious Fists of the Guiding Star" had been her first idea for a title, and-....ah.

She needed to get back on point, yes.

"By the way, dear, i was thinking of asking if you could come perform in a prepared area of my realm! I know the souls of my followers, even the creatures there, enjoy some great songs and ballads and the like once in a while! I only have so many dead musicians from among my followers, so of course you came to mind! We'd have to discuss the details of the setup, ah, since i have to hand down the orders for how to arrange it all.

Still, once today's celebration here is wrapped up, please do contact me sometime soon!"

Viv then gave The Shadowed Dancer a final happy but firm pat on the back, along with her usual smile, before walking away once more to leave the Dancer to whatever shenanigans or performance they wished to do next. It would probably be interesting in some manner regardless. She looked forward to that, most assuredly~

But for now, as it were, she was walking back towards where Earon and Sahira and company were. What were those gods getting up to, she wondered? Haha. Regardless, she needed to give a proper "hi" to the sea god since he was one of her besties!

Near The Grey Hawk, Off the Coast of Wadi al-Qamar
"In part, yes, i did come to sample some local fare that was recommended to me in this area of the country. Lately i have been rooting out bandits who took up camp to the far east, around one of the larger oasis that exist there. They were extorting locals, stealing daughters even, but rest assured they are a worry no more.

For now i head westward, perhaps to work up along the coast unless i get word otherwise of trouble farther inland."

Kens' stoic face didn't seems to betray anything, as ever, though his tone did become more pleasant and proper as he noted his reasons for being in the area. Zia always seemed to be a pleasant Avatar to run into, at least in the giant muscled man's own humble opinion. Always had heard good things about her in his travels. Though soon the other godly Avatar spoke up to him, drawing Kens' gaze over to Caspian in turn.

A hard worker, Kens had heard about him, but Sel'enca had told him of their drinking binges and shared stories. Indeed, the gods were a crazy sort at times in the past, and many an even had occurred where Viv herself and Lord Earon were up to something or another. Simply part of their nature, in his mind, something that he'd fully embraced as normal over the centuries and centuries of his life. It was a wonder that Caspian's immortal lifespan hadn't been chipped down by the stress he seemed to go through, but Kens still had respect for him as an Avatar and warrior. That much was certain.

"I am afraid much of what i have heard about you, Caspian, was from Sel'enca or passerby over the centuries. But i have heard many a good thing about you as well.

I do commend seeking to be prepared for whatever great conflict may next arise, though i would caution against haste if that is acceptable. Remember that we will never know the true preparations needed, sadly, until the next conflict is upon us. Until then, we can only prepare ourselves how we reasonably can.

Even a basic village can not do much but set a few guards round about and protect their flocks and herds, as they would strain their resources otherwise, until the bandits one day arise. Only then are able to adapt best to the situation following this, and see if their preparations allowed them time to overcome their foes."

Hopefully he hadn't spoken much out of turn, but he would not hold back in his thoughts and words as he tried to deliver them respectfully to the Avatar he was looking upon. Caution and preparation was most admirable, but haste and large agreement were themselves dangerous and exhaustive to set up. And what if the next conflict were still a decade off, potentially? Any resource-straining efforts would surely burn out if kept up for too long without a conflict to fuel them. Further, working to best ascertain what a new threat might be was wise, yet also foolish and resource-wasting if one could not pinpoint something down as best as they could.

Anywho-

"Apologies if i have spoken rudely, of course, though i merely wished to make my thoughts on the matter known at least."

Not a one of Vaad's eyes had so much as glanced at Viv, but upon her intrusion, she gathered his full attention. About half way through her speech, Vaad cuts her off with a roar of static and the sounds of howling winds that drowns all else out. The psychic intonation grows in volume and spills into the mental senses of any who don't shut the sound out, and then into material space, the air vibrating around Vaad and shaking his semigelatenous form. His eyes are wide now, and fixed on the star God, their soft amber shot through with blue veins. His tendrils grip his seat, his assigned seat, tight enough that the throne groans in protest.

The noise cuts out.

The rare twinkle of cheer Lravitus Coaxed out into the open is snuffed out in a moment. Vaad's tar like body boils silently, literally seething, as his body language projects a sentiment one needs no telepathy to interpret.

DON'T.

Lravitus then saw the lens of Koy that the kobolds were running away with and decided that Koy should join. So he pointed his finger at the lens and mushroom and bramble began to grow from underneath it. Creating a platform then a base then support until eventually the lens was held in place. Now Koy could see into the Hall.

(It wasn't dropped, but he could certainly snag it before kobolds took it away, I'm cool with that)

The awkward silence growing to long for Intei, he sighs softly and gives a slight bow of departure. As he walks he mutters a few words beneath his breath and a spell is woven maintaining the comforting shade across Lravitus as he made his way towards where the Shadowed Dancer (@LordSunhawk) still sat playing their music.

"Well met, young master bard," Intei smiled deep within his shadowed hood, "Might I ask for a specific song? I feel that perhaps the time for all these talks is passing and a proper dance should be had."

The Hall of Gods

While things were still fairly quiet a figure enters, one who had hoped to come at a more busy time so as to remain fairly unnoticed. Mati the Severed, avatar and 'daughter' of the maimed god Koy. The girl was in the form of a human, and wearing a hodge-podge of clothes and jewels from different lands- which were thankfully freshly cleaned for once. The girl was known to not be a regular attendant at such events, she was not on amicable terms with most of the divines and quite verbally was not a fan of their company, but there was one thing that brought her from her travels.

Godly wines- as the avatar entered she quite immediately made her way to the available food, greeting gods as she passed with a nod if anything at all, and grabbed a bottle of divine vintage. The ever-adapting godling had found many years ago that mundane intoxicants had ceased to have hold over her, so brief trips to these godly meetings were her only chance to let loose. As the slides a second bottle into a bag one would assume to be much too small for it her eyes scan the room, trying to piece together what had happened before her arrival.

Meanwhile, the lens of Koy quite obviously locks its gaze on his avatar, the single foggy eye looking as though it intended to burn a hole through the recalcitrant little wastrel with its intensity.
