China Wuhan Virus Pandemic

Arch Dornan

Oh, lovely. They've sent me a mo-ron.
There's still a spike of them involving comics and their targeting of certain YouTubers, but most of them have sort-of gone quiet because real-life, like the Virus and people's growing intolerance for their bullshit in this time of crisis, doesn't give a shit about pandering to them.

Reality is a hard, bitter slap to the face.

Edit: Amusingly, people on #MGTOW channels are reporting that "strong, independent women" are trying everything they can to schmoozy up to blokes that can provide, mostly due to curfews, self-isolation, et cetera, so they can stay at home. :ROFLMAO:
The comic artists are in trouble now that their funding is in jeopardy. The virus fucked them.

The main distributor of the comics has shut down their warehouses. From the news story they seem to be the primary distributor from all the major publishers. Everyone is going digital and old businesses are dying due to one outbreak.

The prophesied death knell with a coof in the form of a virus.

Yeah. The Chinese are like the Soviets back in the 40's involving nuclear research, like holding plutonium with their hands (based on lack of knowledge/half-complete stolen US research, et cetera), at best.
At worst, they're malicious.
And yet the media are still trying to shill for China.

What in the ever-loving fuck.

The media people are showing their true nature and loyalties?

Maybe China actually is trying to deliberately fuck us over.

Communists wanting to overthrow the free-market world? Say it ain't so...

Comics are purchased online a lot though so it really isnt killing conics
Except DC and Marvel sent out "Pencils down, dont even finish the page you're working on" emails to literally every single writer and artist they had staffed, and have not given them any indication when or if they'll ever be called back to work, so yeah, I'm thinking thats a bad sign.

Or a good sign, technically.

And they can still do thier work at home on the computer like almost if not all comics are done these days.
But this is not for this thread

Well Sweden still has open borders and no lockdowns. It seems like a good experiment to compare the two approaches for future issues. At the cost of human lives etc etc.

And the results speak for themselves.

Sweden, 11 million people, Poland 38 million.
(total number of confirmed carriers of the virus).

"On 28th of March, 249 new cases in Poland, 378 new cases in Sweden. In Poland, 1638 cases total with 18 dead. In Sweden, 3326 cases in total, 105 dead."

"Sweden, yes" my ass...

We apparently have gone past the point where Trump thinks trying to calm people down will do any good; he's openly admitting now that this is going to be bad.

100,000 dead, minimum; is anyone foolish enough to still say that the flu is worse?

We are now past the point were people can prepare, keeping people from running to the stores is no longer needed, so he doesn’t need to be optimistic. Now if anything he has an incentive to be pessimistic, for political reasons, since the bigger the problem, the better his results look.

I keep on waiting for it explode in the developing world.

Africa, India, and Latin America. The west has struggled enough, but the hammer may yet fall the hardest there.

I expect the virus to kill tens of thousands in Africa alone ,maybe more.
Call me a pessimist, but I don't think Africa is going to be able to handle this pandemic better than America. If we're going to have 100,000 dead from this thing minimum, I shudder to think of how bad it's going to get for African nations.
