Star Wars WI: The Jedi Council Covertly Turn to Mandalore for Help Finding the Sith Before The Clone Wars Begin.

Exactly what it says on the tin.

When the Jedi Council realizes the Sith have returned after The Phantom Menace, they covertly ask for help finding the newly emerged Sith from the one group who may remember what the Sith really were, the threat they pose, and who might be able to fight Sith on their own: Mandalore and it's people.

I'm not sure if Obi-wan knew Satine at this point, but it might be interesting if Anakin's Padawan training was at the hands of Mando's as well as Obi-wan.

I'm pretty sure Obi-Wan knew Satine. IIRC he stated that he was Qui-Gonns Padawan when he met Satine and they had that "romantic" time fleeing from bounty hunters, living one day at a time for the better part of the year.

So yeah, Obi-Wan would know Satine quite well even at the time of The Phantom Menace.

Given that the best description of Mandalore is 'Japan' in the 'nation-state mood swings' department... you'll have to support the chucklefucks that were against Satine in the first place...

They probably jumpstart a civil war within Mandalore, if the wrong side wins then the Mandalorians 'reeeeeee' their way into space again and start committing war crimes in huge amounts until the two galactic superpowers pause for a moment, wipe them out and go back to slap fighting each other with slave soldiers.
