Star Wars Who would have been the best Jedi Master to train Anakin?

Diddnt you always dream of seeing a battle between the emperor trying to take a nap on a bench and Leia throwing an air conditioner at him?
nope.

and frankly the fact that Legends had some really dumbass storylines was why I was initially pretty hype for Disney dropping them. It could have been amazing.

Then TFA fucked with some stuff and then TLJ shattered Luke and Space combat in the same damn movie. My ability to watch Star Wars Space Fights is gone if I acknowledge that as canon.

Anyway, one thing that really struck me with the Jedi Order was that it was obvious that the Order only had Anakin on sufferance at times. Yes, Anakin could be a whiny git, no disputing that, but it was obvious right from the start that Mace didn't like or trust him. Even Anakin at his dimmest could have picked that up.

Look for instance in Revenge of the Sith when Anakin tells Mace about Palpatine then offers to come along, the line Mace comes away with "If what you have said is true, you will have earned my trust". That really shows, hell Mace, don't apply for a post in the diplomatic corps.

Wasn't the failure of the jedi institutional rather than personal? Obiwan may have been young, but his bond of friendship with Anakin probably was as good as it gets. Where the Jedi fail is that they took a traumatized slave boy from the Rim away from his mother (even though they would have had all the power in the galaxy to free her as well), obviously didn't give him any sort of counseling, then snubbed him lateron, and then were all super surprised when he snapped... Lads, you failed your perception checks, rolling consecutive 1s.
I'd say obi wan friendship was part of the issue. Anakin didn't need a friend he needed a father figure. Obi Wan was to young and inexperienced to provide that. Which is why sheev was able to undercut them. Because he did provide a father figure as opposed to a friend/brother.
