Remember that most people aren't nutjobs. Red or Blue there will be outliers. Demonizing will only make things uglier than it already is.
Oh, I totally agree. There's also left crazies doing this (just recently with the car crashing into the Republican voter booth), but yeah, the demonization on both sides needs to stop. The polarization is pretty nuts and scary, and being LGBT, I fear the backlash. I suspect that many of the LGBT might not accept me if they knew I was a libertarian, but at the same time, I expect that when in full backlash, all the LGBT will get hit by it, even those who are conservative,

I think the major gains are here to stay, Gay marrage, being allowed to serve in the military things like that.

I think the gay and bisexual part of the LGBT community will do the best, the L part is going to deal with more grief and the T part is going to have the worst of it. Personally Im hoping that the biggest outcome is some mean words on the internet and a pulling of federal and state funds to activist groups.

The T part is something more than about who you want to fuck or be in a relation with

When even the BBC covers stuff like this, you know there’s an issue

Not sure if she can actually put something like this to court, I mean in the end it was her decision

I'm not sure about the UK, but in the US, it's basically an accusation of medical malpractice by not giving information. When you hire a doctor, you aren't paying them to just do what you say, but also to give advice on what your problem is.

I agree that the major gains are here to stay, but what I'm worried about is violent rejection from the right if the crazy LGBT activists keep going further.

But how will the doctor know? Will the doctor do a brain scan?

In 96 I worked for the Dole campaign here in AZ, specifically in Phoenix itself, and at a big rally downtown was helping out with perimeter security.

Now, Dole was *boring*, about the most boring and anodyne candidate you can imagine. Yet outside that rally we caught Dem 'protestors' trying to smuggle in M80's, smoke bombs, stink bombs, various other forms of firecrackers and incendiaries into the rally. We had to have security patrolling the garages around the plaza where the rally was taking place to keep Dem protestors from trashing peoples cars. One of my coworkers had a balloon filled with urine thrown at her.

This was *DOLE*, look up 'boring moderate with no interest in ever saying anything more harsh than 'you only get 99% of what you want!'' and you'll find his picture. Jack Kemp was his running mate, who spent most of the campaign talking about his football days and posing without saying a single damn thing. And the Dems behaved like that anyways.

At this rate the only thing they have to do is hire the Jim Henson company and flawlessly recreate weekend at Bernie's on the democratic debate stage.

Yep People really have to quit thinking this a new thing. This is literally what the Dems have always done. They just got more blatant bec they'd assumed they'd won forever. It's amazing how effectively media buried the truth pre net. It's also utterly depressing it worked as well as it did. Even most in the right I've met assume anifta and such is new. Maybe 1-8/9 even know the name "weathermen" this is conservatives mind. So just imagine how much worse it must be for leftists.

One of the interesting contrasts over the last 4 years, has been relief that a lot of people are leaving the leftists, and frustration that they think this behavior on the part of the left's leadership is new.

The Democrats are the party that defended the traitors who gave nuclear weapons technology to the soviet union, that said not to back the Chinese nationalists against Mao, that wouldn't put the Maoists down before they went nuclear. Jane Fonda literally went to Hanoi during the Vietnam war and broadcast to American soldiers that they should surrender, yet was never arrested and convicted of treason for this.

Walter Cronkite, the most trusted man in TV news, admitted after he retired he was actively trying to dupe the American people. He and the majority of the media establishment conducted a campaign of lies to make America thing the Vietnam war was futile, unwanted by the South Vietnamese, and unwinnable.

The Democrats, media, and much of academia pushed the idea that Reagan's willingness to present strength rather than weakness to the USSR would result in global nuclear war. A decade later, they all insisted that the USSR had been collapsing anyways, and Reagan was just lucky enough to be in the White House at the key time when it all started going down.

In the 90's, Clinton refused more than once to take Osama Bin Laden out when he was presented to him more or less on a silver platter. He also repeatedly deployed American forces to regional conflicts, then pulled them out as soon as things got hot, creating the 'paper tiger' impression that so many terrorist groups and tin-pot dictators use to defy American power.

Obama literally shipped pallets of cash to the Iranians, said a thug who was killed trying to kill a 'white hispanic' is what 'his son would have looked like,' if he'd had one, and let Hillary Clinton sell off a huge chunk of American Uranium to the Russians, just years before the Democrat party finally decided that they hated the Russians, 25 years after the Cold War ended.

Then there's the decades-long villification of the pro-life movement, deliberate deception about facts regarding gun ownership and crime rates, their standardized political tactics of smearing, and endless fascination with dictators. Not to mention using welfare programs to tear the family apart and make people dependent vote-serfs.

The leadership of the political left and Democrat party have always been authoritarian would-be tyrants, just with very good PR until more recently. It's frustrating how many people have been duped by them over the years.

Want to read something stupid? The comments section of a site I sometimes visit is absolutely convinced that the Democrats will steal the election via absolutely massive voting fraud (as they stole the 2012 presidential and 2018 midterm elections, according to them), Trump will do nothing about it, and the Republicans in Congress will cheer the results. The latest incidence of said comments being set in motion by this tweet:

Its almost comedic. They should make a sitcom where Trump is caricatured as oblivious and dumb, but somehow manages to outwit or outlast the scheming "smart" democrats attempts to take him down.

It would be better social commentary than 98% of what our noble punditry bloviates about.
