Never said it would be , Most things prefaced by "real life" aren't. Were headed for some incredibly unfun and unfulfilling times, it just whether you want it all it once or spread out and whether you want it to land on you or just keep passing the buck down the line.

I suspect we will not actually be alerted of nukes and they will just hit wherever and we will learn after the fact. After the nordstream pipeline was destroyed and other curious happenings I can see what we are being pushed into a war against a certain country that is not having much to lose and that has plenty of their own nukes.

What would be your first thoughts?

I would be laughing. I would be incredulous at the thought that this order got passed all the way through and people obeyed it and actually launched the missiles.

What would you then do?

Maybe stay at home? There isn't really anything to do. There might be mass panic as people presume an imminent nuclear apocalypse. Traffic will be jammed so you won't be able to to get to the supermarket before it's empty or escape from the cities in time. You're probably not going to survive out in the wilderness anyway. Even if the Russian subs don't have enough missiles to hit your area, any missiles that do hit are likely to screw up the supply chain and could cause starvation. Only thing to do is to pray, and hope that nothing happens to the States, and then go back to work in a few days or weeks once everything starts going back to normal.

What about all the people who didn't vote for Biden, though? I know you said it somewhat jokingly, but I don't think it's accurate to cast the "we" as meaning all of us voted for this... when really, it was less than 50 percent of voters in 2020 at most. Or somewhat less than that, depending on how "legitimate" you believe the election was.

Anyway, I'm more or less on the same page as @Val the Moofia Boss and would share one last hug with my family as we either pray for the best, or pray for a safe journey to the afterlife (whatever that may be). Personally, I'd like to have at least six to seven more decades before passing on, but if Death's staring me down and there's nothing I can do other than blink first, then I guess that's it. At that point, I'm just hoping to die with dignity, head to a relatively nice afterlife, and for me cursing the Biden administration — and everyone else responsible for ushering in a nuclear holocaust, for that matter — to have the "desired effect" (if you know what I mean).

Sounds an awful lot like your questioning the most super secure election ever, that even the supremest of courts would not hear anything about. If you or I actually felt different perhaps we would actually take some sort of meaningful action to show our conviction instead of just saying "better luck next time" or that any level of violence or anything vaguely approaching resistance never, ever, super for reals solves anything.

Just because a woman cooperates with her rapist, doesn't mean she consents or she should be condemned for cooperating. After all, her other options are being beaten into cooperating anyway or death, so while her circumstances are absolutely bad ones, wanting to make it out with her life and in one piece are entirely reasonable.

Fortunately, those who don't want to play ball have more "wiggle room" than a woman at the complete mercy of her rapist, though really, I'd say both blind subservience and bloody revolution are both roads to damnation. As far as "third options" go, I'd say Agorism — that is, employing peaceful methods outside the normal political process and building parallel infrastructure to subvert the state's authority — seems like the least likely thing to end in blood and tears for all, assuming the government's too slow to thwart it fast enough.
