He is found by the White Council to be innocent of Black Magic use and informed of the world around him

Presumably, he’s not required to continue being apprenticed, so he might not have to be with Ebenezar

Just warned like Charity and her fellow runaways from before the series

How does he change with time and maybe a better relationship with the White Council

Ebenezar is still going to apprentice him; Dresden is his grandson.

As for how it changes the story? That is way too hard to predict. I mean take Storm Front, a wizard in good standing alerts the Wardens to what is going on and the whole thing is liable to become their problem. Dresden was the Wardens primary suspect in that story almost entirely because of the Doom.

Remove the Doom and Dresden's relationships with basically every Wizard in the world are different.

So he becomes less skilled due to probably getting to rely on the White Council for backup? Or so long as it's wizard involved and they say that he can handle it or give him a warden cloak early?
