What if america joined the central powers

Yet Berlin would still want MOAR,as always. And,as a result, start WW2 and lost it,just like in OTL.
Their problem was not that they were imperialists, but that they always wonted more. When other imperia knew where to stop.

If Berlin already gets Ukraine, then I think that it would be quite content with the fruits of victory from WWI indefinitely.

More or less, as -from what I've gathered- Imperial Germany was going for transforming its colonies into nations with trade relations by the time WW1 came around. At least, that appeared to be the honest end-goal.

There was the Mitteleuropa vision if the German liberals would have won out after the end of WWI:

An early version of the EU, if you will. Except possibly without France and/or southern Europe.

From my understanding, it was also a plan for Germany's African holdings. Build them into nations, let them do their own thing, and be trade partners.

Germany can keep Namibia due to its large white population, no? But the rest of them can eventually go their own way, I suppose.

There's Mitteleuropa and Mittelafrika:

Interestingly enough, even black Namibians sometimes embrace even the worst aspects of German culture:

"Hitler, now in black!" :D

Their generation would be content.Next would want MOAR.Or next after that, like in case of WW1 war which started two generations after 1870.

And,by that time,Russia would become strong again, and german slavic colonies would learn to hate germans. And wait for anybody, including russians,to come and liberate them.

africans embrace it,becouse germans genocided other tribes. In Europe poles, ukrainians and belarussians would hate germans for their crimes against them.
And,since germans would not genocide them, only hold in yoke, they would wait for next war to strike at them.

Yep, this and also the US would very likely be able to at least annex Canada and perhaps even Australia and New Zealand. Then the entire non-British white Anglosphere will be united under American rule, completing the US's Manifest Destiny in a glorious way. The US and Germany could subsequently keep their close alliance in the post-WWI years, with an arrangement similar to NATO, but with a more dominant Germany in this TL relative to real life. And Germanic supremacy would become a total meme in this TL, with Brits strongly regretting that they didn't join the Germanic side in WWI!

I doubt that American imperialism would desire reaching as far as Australia and New Zealand and they could find Canada a pain to hold unless their willing to treat 'whites' as badly as they treated 'Indians' or Filipinos during earlier conflicts. It all depends on how deranged Washington is in this scenario.

I suspect given their similar view of a zero sum world and belief of their special character that any such alliance is likely to be very short lived as neither is likely to accept the other as an equal.
