Rogue Trader looks so fun. I'm always on a wait and see approach with Warhammer games since oftentimes they're disappointing or roughly made but I've been hearing generally good things about this one.

Owlcat games have the Bethesda tendency of buggy games on release date but they are a very small studio in comparison...the fact that they are still on Steam with the sanctions it is something extraordinary.
In my opinion, they do try their best with their resources available and to actually put roleplay into RPG with the games they have released so far.
Before BG3 fully released, I had read their second Pathfinder game and Solasta (another videogame made by a different dev) were the closest you could get to a DND style RPG.

In addition, they try to patch them ASAP and they still released decent expansions content-wise, such as the latest DLC for Wrath of the righteous and their games are actually available on GOG.COM so for me they are very good company so far.

Heads Will Roll: Reforged, love the game that makes you laugh and not just rage (damn you RNG, damn you ).

Lessons hammered home: tits are temporary but death is permanent, you are only tool to your higher ups, better live coward than a dead hero, you will be a jackbooted thug when needed. Now excuse me, I need to make Rennes great again.
So I bought the game pretty fun I pussied out and ended up playing on the lowest difficulty though, but on easy is it possible to die? I only “died” once to the bandit guy but that is a story thing it looks like. Anyway thanks for the recommendation can I ask you some questions?

Did you play the prologue (Downfall) first? Hardest difficulty ain't that bad once you learn the combat system and die couple of times, gathering points for easier start. I am by no means expert on the intricacies of this game, but if you have any questions regarding mechanics or story, go ahead.

Ruffin in the village? That is story thing indeed, if you manage to defeat him, he won't die as well and you will have a chance to meet him again later on, then the defeated will die

No, I thought the progoue was just a demo of the first heads will roll. I got the reforged it's not a sequel it's the same game as the regular one just with better graphics and other stuff right?

Anyway so my question was is there anything I should be on the look for that I could end up missing. I remember when there was a mission to go steal some stuff from a castle very early in the game one of my comrades got captured aparently if I save him Bart can help you as a companion. I got past the first siege and he is no longer in the game.

Yeah him.

Reforged is the original game with better graphics and apparently number of fixes of game system. Downfall is gamewise 3/4 way between the original and new game, with story set a decade before the main game, you meet Sargent and Northampton, giving some background to several events in the main game.

Bart can be your buddy through the siege of Cambrai if
you don't mess up the castle heist or bust him out of prison if you do. During the first assault on the walls he will get wounded and you will have to sacrifice your shield to save him from being finished off (have a spare one for storming the walls) and to save him from succumbing to wounds you will have to help the doctor lady (which incidentally raises relationship with her). There is a good chance he will die right at the next storming at the shield wall, you need to raise your weapon skill and maybe have a few canteens or waterskins at hand to keep up stamina and fatigue down to eliminate the frenchies as fast as you can.

Likely their 4th friend got home from middle school and they wanted the open slot.

Why they would do the kick in the middle of the game no clue.

Cause retarded.

Or maybe because I:
1) Don't have voice chat enabled.
2) Rarely look at the game chat.

So, some reetards autistically screeching "Book" was ignored or something.

Literally we had one such moron reeing "BOOK" so much you'd think we were playing with a friggin donkey.

Fucking retards, should have picked the less stupid contracts, usually I make sure to do:
Monstrosities.
8 missions in total.
N number of missions without deaths.
Get x amounts of plasteel and diamantide.

Those are easier to do than kill x dregs with meelee of psyker, for example, or hunt for 16 frigging books that might or might not be there. And I don't need the frigging corruption from one when I am playing heresy or dsmantion, thank you very much!

So... about System Shock 2023/Remake.

I started it in November and I haven't finished it yet and I am still enjoying it, even with Max difficulty enemies setting! Granted it was a pain in the ass the level with the pustulent flying bioweapon bulbs because I had no damn ammo...then I got to flight deck and I think I nearly cleared that level by sheer luck, including the boss of that level (which is an enemy that kills you and doesn't make you respawn but it is insta-gameover).

Get it !

I tried Palworld.

This is the first time, outside of some bits of the newer fallout games and maybe there was a hint of it in NWN 1 and 2, where I have had to build settlements and set up manufacturing and resource extraction in a first/third person should I call it RPG?

Anyways, it is fun.
Lots of fun.

One of the genres the Palworld devs mentioned were taking a lot of influence from that most of the gaming sphere ignores in favor of the monster collection and survival games is the 4X and civilization building genre

Well, it is pretty nice.

I still haven't caught the big Pikachu with the gattling, but I am working towards it.

The game needs more improvement if it will be a proper 4x. :)

Too few pals on too few bases.

No auto transfer of stuff between bases/shared resources pool.

No decent resource management screen for stashed stuff that I can see, even.

Great visuals and music, likeable characters, engaging enough story (not the best GBF story compared to the gacha's main story or some events like Seeds of Redemption but not a snooze either), the character building is interesting, and some of the missions are pretty spectacular.

The character models (when properly lit in cutscenes and certain battle areas) and the visual effects look fantastic. I'm hard press to think of other anime JRPG with characters and VFX that looks this good. Trails and Valkyria Chronicles come close in the character department but this is really something else, and nothing comes close to the VFX quality. The environments also look good, though Xenoblade probably has the edge in more imaginative and grandiose JRPG environments. The Granblue 2D illustrations look superb as usual.

It's a shame that more of the capital city of Seedhollow wasn't explorable. Hopefully there will be more town environments in a sequel.

Overall good soundtrack. Much of the music is remixes of Uematsu's original GBF OST by Narita. Not my favorite renditions, but still good. The real highlight is the new boss themes, particularly Managarmr, Id (sounds like a Trails of Cold Steel track with the violin), and Bahamut. It sounds like the final boss song was sung by Taro Kobayashi. Will have to wait for the soundtrack release for confirmation.

Story wise, I'm a little peeved by there being a third Bahamut. The foundational lore of the setting in the gacha is that the god of the GBF setting, Bahamut, was split into two and the universe was split into two: the Sky realm which GBF takes place in, and the Astral realm which is never visited. Gran's sidekick Vyrn is the reincarnation of the Sky half of Bahamut, and the Astral realm Bahamut is over in the Astral realm which is inaccessible to the Skydwellers. No one has managed to cross the boundary between worlds since the Astrals retreated at the end of the War 2,000 years ago, and the Astrals who were left behind (Loki, Lucilius, Beelzebub, etc) have been unable to return home. It is highly unlikely that this is the Astral side Bahamut. So where did this Third Bahamut come from? It's never satisfactorily explained.

It's bizzare that Lilith somehow knows about Lyria and knows that Gran is the Singularity, despite Gran hailing from a completely different Skydom than Lilith has been operating in, and the Church of Avia was said to be localized the Zegagrande Skydom rather than spanning multiple skydoms. The True King identified Gran since he heads a global superpower that spans multiple Skydoms with many nations and organizations serving him and feeding him information, but Lilith appears to be a small time local actor.

Gameplay wise, I had a few complaints:

  • The main character, Gran, has a really unfun mechanic, where you have to perform combos to build up stacks which empower your skills, so you want to do four combos to get the four stacks before using a skill at maximum effectiveness. Gran is supposed to be a versatile jack of all trades character who can use buffs, debuffs, heals, and tank abilities, but his arts mechanic is counterintuitive as you cannot use these utility skills in a pinch at maximum effectiveness unless you just happen to be sitting on four stacks of Arts for no reason, and you can't rotate the coverage of multiple skills (ie, using a second tank skill 15 seconds after your first tank skill just as it is about to expire) due to the time it takes to build up 4 stacks of Arts. I had a lot more fun once I switched to playing Vaseraga, who has no annoying gauge or combo meter you have to put up with, though Vaseraga wasn't canon to the story so it did feel odd to be playing as him in gameplay but then you're seeing Gran in the cutscenes.
  • Aside from the postgame fight against the Automagod, the quests where you fight a single boss were generally too easy. I didn't really face a real challenge until the Proud difficulty quests in which you fight 2 or 3 bosses at once (the crocs, and then the dragons, and then Gallanza and Maglielle).
  • The postgame bosses are rather unimaginative. You get to fight the cool story bosses a couple of more times but otherwise you're mostly fighting generic enemies: more goblins riding wolves, more giant skeletons, more golems, more crocodiles, and more dragons, etc. The penultimate boss was the only thing new that I hadn't fought before. It's a shame, because the gacha has a wealth of fantastical monster designs but they're unused here.

A new boss, Lucilius, is going to be patched in March, and two additional playable characters, Seofon and Tweyen, are going to be added in April. More content has been announced but we don't know what it is yet.
