Just to be clear, by that you mean sites like wikileaks? What about information that has been censored?

That's a violation of the first amendment, but makes sense if we have military on here. I hope it isn't due to some stupid ideological nonsense, some of us are here to get away from sb mob/d think, not indulge in conservative wankfests.
Multiple people involved with the site have jobs involving US government security clearances and want to minimize potential real life liability concerns involving those. It's nothing to do with any ideology or government worshiping, just pure pragmatism to protect people's careers and liability.
I don't think anyone here wants a wankfest. It's obviously a risk (though I'd say the term echo chamber fit better) given the forum's starting point and founding members generally lean in a particular direction, but we want healthy and free debate and welcome dissent. As much I disagree with them, I'd like it if we had a few antifa types show up here, I have a lot of questions about them and thier worldview that I can't find a clear answer to.

No, they are banned because their ideology is every bit as reprehensible as Nazism or Maoism. This forum draws a line at expressing support for, or advocating in favor of, ideologies with a proven history of engaging in and supporting mass murder and wholesale human slaughter.
You can advocate violence against any group that you want as a policy matter. Incitement to violence or specific threats and advocacy of genocide are a rules violation but otherwise you are fine.
You can make a thread arguing whether or not being a Nazi should be a death penalty offense, or whether or not every communist should be put to death, and that is fully acceptable on The Sietch.
Not quite, at least not as I read it. The rules ban threats of violence against people, not advocating it's use. "I'm going to go beat up some [insert group here]" is a threat. "I think group X is dangerous and must be opposed with force" is not.
And besides, they tend to frame their arguments as self defense (which is one of the things I have questions about), and advocating for self defense is obviously allowed.
What do you mean by "as a policy matter", exactly? I usually see that phrase used in discussion of official actions taken by people or organizations with legitimate authority, not the actions of private citizens in the public square. Or is this something you'd just have to phrase very carefully?

If you don't like the Terms of Service then cease using the site, because the ToS isn't changing.
If you feel like advocating for Stalinism then do it somewhere else. If you feel like advocating for Nazism then do it somewhere else. If you feel like advocating for Maoism then do it somewhere else.
If you feel like playing games and finding some smaller but no less reprehensible ideology to advocate in favor of then do it somewhere else because we will ban you for that one just as fast as any of the three named flavors of utterly reprehensible ideologies lacking in merit, justification, or value to the human species.
Otherwise, instead of cluttering up the Welcome thread go and just post on the forum.
TBH I've always hated the game of "Hitler/Stalin was worse than Stalin/Hitler!" They were both reprehensible, monstrous people with the blood of millions on their hands. Trying to argue which was worse doesn't sit right with me.

Eh, I just think Hitler's worse both because of what he intended to do (Generalplan Ost etc) and because he actually killed more people than Stalin. Doesn't make Stalin any less an evil bastard but it does make his victory in ww2 more tolerable.

I have accounts on SB, SV, and FIC so may as well make one on here too. I am politically "left", but not the Leftist sort, so hopefully the site does not live up to its reputation! 🍺 There are bad members of any site, so as long as the place is civil and nice in general I think it can have some modicum of success.
Gonna see about sharing my stories since I believe fiction should be available to everyone and they curate based on their own tastes, rather than by platform and/or political ideology. I already upload to Ao3 and have done so on SV in the past, so I feel I should do the same here lest I leave people out. If anyone likes Gundam and/or My Hero Academia I hope you will be able to enjoy my writing, and I hope we can all enjoy our fandoms and series together without the bloodbath they have become on other websites.
(Also hoping the only Nazis I see are the fictional space kind of the Empire and Zeon here!

Hope this isn't cluttering things up too much here, but yes and no: my least favorite arc in the manga (Overhaul Arc) is what's being adapted this next season, but it being my least favorite doesn't mean I think season 4 will be bad. It's just that when there are so many arcs one of them will eventually have to not be as likable as all the others to you.
I'm most looking forward to the content that would be in season 5, but I will still be happy to watch all of season 4 when it finally does air! It's my hope that the pacing issues this arc is infamous for will be solved by being in a different medium.
G Gundam is the best Gundam series.
I'm more of a Universal Century guy and G is a whole different genre than UC's entries, but it's a fine entry in Gundam unlike say Origin or the recent Build Fighters. Plenty to enjoy in G, especially its great soundtrack.
