it gets done when it gets done. i know when i get a hard spot... i skip it and move down the story and work in other areas for a while and then go back to the speed bump.

I mull things over until I have a plan, then go get advice. Then mull over how that impacts the plan. Then write some, then get feedback and mull some more.
Hey, we all enjoy your story. Post when you have a section you are satisfied with. We will all be waiting. I mean, I literally only came to The Sietch because of your story so I will be here.

Mayhaps some Mulled Wine to accompany the mulled thoughts?
Oddly, I’ve only ever had one kind of wine that I actually liked the taste of, and the weather has been weird enough this year that I don’t know if the local winery was actually able to make it.

Besides, if it’s anything like mulled cider ... that really doesn’t do much for me. I like the regular cider better 90% of the time. Unless I’m really in the mood for a hot drink rather than a cold one, basically.

Same with me. I enjoy what you have written here and am willing to wait for good content. Work at your own pace and don't overdo it for us.

Just waiting patiently for the Captain to get the opportunity to absolutely shred some Comstar/Drac/Pirate space assets with their murder frenzy Centurion ASFs and make Katrina absolutely froth at the mouth for a competent Air command that will eventually make the Fourth Succession War look like Bruce Quest with the border push back.

Not so sure that will happen anytime soon.... The Pinto is kind of noticeable after all...
So less space asset shredding and more massive invasion force.

Pretty sure it's very obviously hulked isn't it? I'd have to go back but I thought it was missing large sections of its aft.
And at this point the most intresting parts of the surviving equipment of the Pintio ie the remaining captial weapons are parked in warehouses on the surface of catachan waiting to be either shipped elsewhere or installed in some anti ship batteries around the holdfast

I wonder is NPPCs or naval lasers would be easier to put back into production. While the lasers were developed earlier, I cannot help but think of the very expensive tooling that would be requried to manufature capital grade optics. NPPCs on the otherhand are less technologically sophisticated than their mech scale counterparts.

From what I can tell, lasers in BTech are the same as in Warhammer 40k with Las weaponry and scale directly. Only reason there aren't planetary defense stations with huge lasers is FASA and Com*.

They don't scale that well actually. If you look at it. The larger the laser the less the damage increases and the more heat is produced. Now I am basing this entirely off of Small-Med-Large lasers. And not Naval lasers, because I don't know much about Naval weapons in BT.

But there does seem to be a point where you would be doubling or more heat, for tiny damage increases.
