We need to have an intervention for Manual Drivers

You see my good chap I live in the rural countryside. Where Deer, Coyote, Wild Boar and Alligators can and do cross the road on the regular. Not paying attention to the road be it with a Manual or Automatic in my area would be just plain stupid.

He poked the bear first. The Bear swiped back. ;) But if you read back in old newspapers from 100 years ago. People did indeed say those things about cars, trucks and tractors.
I bet you were one of those people back in your day ;)

That doesn't mean people who prefer manual are comparable to those people. Nobody is suggesting to make manual transmission mandatory, people have a simple preference, like hobbyists who like to make a few laps on the track on the weekend and feel that a manual transmission gives them that something extra that they're looking for in their car. To me that doesn't scream "primitive neanderthal" at all. I think everyone can agree that the manual transmission is destined to be a niche market, although I don't believe it will ever disappear completely (well, it may disappear together with thte internal combustion engine, but probably not before).

Oh trust me I have talked to plenty of Europeans who mean just that. And leave very very hateful comments for those who say they love Automatics more. It is a gut reaction sorry if you were offended.

You have been weighed
Try buying a used automatic over 150,000 miles and change the fluid first thing, if you don't between their and 300,000 your going to have break and need replacement within that space of time, but at the same time the engine is 150,000 miles and if it's dirty enough replacing the fluid will destroy it easily.

Don't get me wrong I am not sh*tting on automatic transmissions here, if you buy a car brand new and religiously change the transmission fluid, it isn't a issue. But, if your buying a car used, a manual will have a longer shelf life.

In the entire debate of Manual vs. Automatic. Nothing trump's longevity, as you want your vehicles transmission to last above all else because if it fails they are so expensive to rebuild or replace you might as well by a new vehicle by that point. Manuals have a advantage of the clutch taking most of the wear over the transmission itself which increases reliability.
Easy, buy a Toyota. I did virtually no maintenance on a Camry old enough to vote when I bought it, putting a hundred miles on it a day, for years, with no complaints.

Nobody wants to drive a manual in a traffic jam.

That's an automatic main selling point. I've spent 3 hours in a traffic jam while driving a company car. Even worse, my company buys FIAT(because, being a state-owned business, they usually buy based on lowest-price tender). For those fortunate enough to not know what it means, FIAT's cars have crap clutches and transmissions, almost on the level of a 60's car. This means that after such a jam your left leg aches and you're incredibly tired.

And that is why I buy only Automatic Cars. I work in the Charlerston Area of SC. Aka we are gonna have 3 to 5 accidents today so hurry up and wait.

You should be aware that a properly maintained clutch should be soft as a butter. I've rented automatics a few times, before I had my own car, and I had my left foot literally fall asleep, needles and all, from not doing anything for like an hour. Never happened with a manual. I've only experienced fatigue with the gas pedal foot, never with the left foot. And before COVID I used to drive through slow, heavy traffic daily, so my left foot saw plenty of action.

I have a bad left knee. Any Manual use will aggravate it in normal driving. Now I drive a Hyundai Sonata Hybrid. This car has sold me on Hybrids forever and Hyundai/ Kia group particularly. My Sonata is the most comfortable car I have ever driven. It is built around driver comfort. And the fact that when I am in heavy traffic. I barely use any gas because I am on battery most of the time. Means I have a superior driving experience in heavy traffic conditions. Never gonna get another car that is not a Hyundai/Kia hybrid again.

So you're basing your judgment on your extremely narrow and particular circumstances. What if you had a bad right knee? What then?
