Jesus Christ, this is escalating quickly. I have a horrid feeling this might end up with a full blown insurgency. It'll be quickly and bloodily crushed mind you, but that will be a dark chapter in American history.
That aside, in reference to an earlier comment about how our sister sites are handling this, dear god it's anarchy over on SV. It's just pure cope. They're either wittering about how "Anti-Fa isn't an organisation and Trump doesn't understand what organisation means" or that "Drumpfler is going to arrest everyone he deems to be Anti-Fa."
Having been on that site for about for years, it's beautiful to see. Smug bastards aren't so smug now. I've yet to have a look at what SB's been up to, but I can only imagine the wonder unfolding over there.

Oh they'd be in enough trouble against the armed citizenry of the United States on its own, let alone the National Guard. I once heard somewhere about how much of a nightmare invading America would be due to the fact that, military aside, invading forces would be surrounded by hundreds of millions of frightened, armed to the teeth civilians.

No, I mean ones defined by the US government. The wikipedia page I linked lists the ones the US government defines, specifically the state departments list. I'm arguing that there isn't a list of defined domestic terrorist groups that the US can apply the nonsupport parts of the Patriot act to.
Everysingle group on my list is wanted or was wanted by the FBI. They are domestic terrorist groups. there is just no offcial list

There aren't rural areas directly outside the cities, first are the suburbs and when those were threatened the rioters were shut down hard.

I think for many Far Lefties, things are getting "too close" to their ivory towers.
They tried to spread out of ATL..it did not work. Protests yes but not much else. My family right outdside of Atlanta were armed enough to take any would be rioters in thier upper medium class neighborhood down

In the latter, and the states soon to have increasingly horrible gun laws. I can see new neighbors or residents trying to have guns taken away from the people who more freely used and owned them.

Many things that are legal or just something you could do without much trouble can suddenly find themselves banned by “concerned” citizens
Maybe even your homes will be legally seized and given to someone else, or you suddenly have to all pay for something you disapprove of and so on
While I don’t think a true civil war may occur, there are lines being made and reasons for people to resent some idiots, while said idiots only resent the previous as a trend and have no true hatred
On the plus side the media has stopped going on about covid-19 (they forgot about it pretty fast). And there's more than enough time until election day for this to be brought under control and President Trump to come out smelling like roses to swing voters as well as his support base.
