He will likely lose power, but from what I here from locals they will just blame all of the bad issues he caused on the conservatives who will get a one term government and then they will end up with either some one just as bad or worse.

Frankly if we're getting jailed for life for posting off-color memes or even accidentally offending a 'protected group' in the slightest way, might as well go for broke and fly a plane into Parliament Hill or some shit to take the oppressive fucks who passed this abomination down with us. Completely demented. Now sure, if Poilievre gets in (as seems nearly certain due to Trudeau's historic unpopularity and the NDP collapsing right alongside him) he'll overturn it - he's publicly opposing it and if nothing else, it's too egregious an offense aimed at his own voters - but that still means there'll be a year or so (depending on how quickly they pass this bill) in which Trudeau can gulag anyone who puts a toe out of line before finally getting thrown out on his ass.

Keep in mind that in various places they hold that "we need to stop mass migration" to be a "hate speech promoting genocide" and gulaging people for stating it.
My guessing is this is aimed directly at trudeu's political opponents. They are going to want to jail Poilievre directly. Just like the demon rats in america are trying to jail trump
