Protecting North Carolinians from predatory schools. Anyone have experiences of having loans problems, etc ?

Be very wary of for-profit schools. They're much more expensive than community colleges. Ivy Tech - Indianapolis' community college - is a little less than $150/credit hour part time and $2,250/semester full-time if you're in-state. That's about half of a bachelor's degree for $9k and they'll accept just about anyone.

The loan cancellation in the tweet works out to a wee bit less than twice that per student.
