Tell us how you really feel about NC State Attorney General Josh Stein (D) 😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎
Looks like it won't matter anyways b/c the "Inflation Reduction Act" (FTFY) is going to give the USPS millions of dollars to buy electric vehicles. So yea!!!! It's a win for China AND Stein!!!!

The new USPS electric vans are almost twice as expensive as a 2022 Ford F150 witout any of the options.

Those picups get better city gas milage than my '99 Toyota Solara despite being at least 1,000lbs heavier and posessing a larger and much more powerful engine.

We should go the Honda Insight route: give it a small engine for cruising and battery charging along with an electric motor for acceleration and enough battery capacity so that it doesn't get honked at because it's too sluggish for stop-and-go rush hour traffic.

Properly sizing the engine, fuel tank, electric motor, and batteries will be tricky when the engineer is given these requirements: "A full day's mail run in stop-and-go traffic", "A full day's mail run in rural areas where highway speeds are needed", "The only stops are to deliver mail, collect mail, have lunch, or use a restroom", "Must be driveable in 6+" inches of snow", "Must be driveable when it's 130Β°F outside", "It only needs refueling once a day, at most", and so on and so forth.

The '99 Insight's 67hp IL gasoline motor and 13hp electric motor gives you 80hp. An '84 Civic's 1.5L and much less sophisticated motor gives you 79hp.

Civics were also considered "medium sized" back then while an Insight was a "subcompact" that was just as heavy at around 1,950lbs. An old Civic burned twice as much gasoline as a '99 Insight, but could also take 5 people somewhere instead of only two.

If I recall, didn't the Hornets used to have Bobby Phills & David Wesley playing for them back in the day ? πŸ€”
They did and the car accident which preceeded Phills' funeral and Wesley's very light sentence is something I'd rather not remember hearing about because my dad's '65 Porsche is more difficult to drive than the ones they were using.

I remembered hearing about it in a news segment. Tragedy all around

It's one of those things that I wish hadn't happened. It also served as a very visible example of just how quickly high performance automobiles can go from "everything's good" to "this is going to suck" when amateurs are behind the wheel.

When the Hornets had Anfernee "Penny" Hardaway and Larry "Grandmamma" Johnson they were entertaining to watch. Especially the commercials.
Oof! I had a "wait a second, I'm misremembering things" moment just now and double checked. Penny played for the Orlando Magic with a still-growing Shaq back then.

Still think the commercials were entertaining.
