At this point, I'm halfway convinced the Left (though admittedly, they're not alone) are a collective NPC hivemind that can't step outside their in-group and muster the introspection to realize how they come across to everyone else. Okay, I agree that one's legit hilarious!

At the very least, it's a break from all the Trump-Hitler comparisons. Had an opportunity to squeeze one in there (i.e., "Jews for Hitler!" replacing "Chickens for McNuggets!" instead) ... but then, that'd have been screechy hyperbole that ruined the meme, so I guess they made the right call in the end. Rare as unicorn farts when that happens, really.

But you know full well they won't.

It's a fair deal, but fair deals only hold up when all parties involved are fair, clear-minded people who'll take what they can get and make reasonable concessions otherwise. The Establishment, on the other hand, isn't anywhere near that, so while an entrenched faction staffed by people with good heads on their shoulders would take it as a deal they can't refuse, the entrenched faction we have now ain't it.
