In the begining California decided to put all of our crazies in asylums so they wouldn't embarish us, the 1960s were in general a pretty weird time for us an a lot of nuts moved here to be around other crazy people. You also had people seeking fame and fortune and didn't have what it took to make it in cali.
So that was the begining of it, then during the 80s Reagan noticed that conditions in the Asylums were well pretty fucking horrific because they were a dumping ground for the unwanted, and he made it so any one who didn't want to be there could leave. Place was shit so a lot of people left, the problem is quite a few of those people didn't have the capability to make it on their own.
Now add in 50 or so years of mismanagement of the state and yeah things be fucked.

No the influx of crazy people came first during the 60s, where a lot of bad ideas happened. Regan had good intentions dont force people to live in shitty asylums but there were unforseen circumstances which helped make the homeless problem worse. And then shit compounded upon itself with decades of bad decisions.
He was a part of the chain of bad decisions but I blame him less because he was at least working with the ideal of human freedom.

Not before 2030, and further out than that I doubt any successful candidate could be meaningfully called "Youngkin-type"
California is so far in debt that it is impossible to corse correct.
There are only 3 outcomes to this senerio.
Federal bail out- This was pelosi's only job, you know how she's looking at getting property in florida? Its because she fucked up her one job and now she knows that the important people will give her the epstine treatment here in cali.
One fucking job....so this one isn't happening.
Bankrupcy- we would have to go to the feds but this one is still doable no one would lend money to us for decades and we would have to slash everything but its doable.
Complete economic collaspe- Where I realistically think were heading.
We have been very stupid for a very long time I think the state is going to hit the wall head first, and then it will get worse and worse and eventally it will go red. Because people will be smacked hard by reality for years. So its going to be awhile were pretty retarded.
