What If? The Ferengi arrive on MCU Earth

After the end events of Black Panther 2 Wakanda Forever. The ROB listens to the statements the Wakandans made and said oh really. Now on a mission to Troll Wakanda. The ROB places in the USA, Canada, UK, France, Israel, Brazil, Australia, Japan and Argentina these Resourses.

Massive veins of Dilithium
Massive pools of Liquid Latinum
Components for Trilithium
Massive veins of Naquada
Large numbers of Kyber Crystals.

The ROB then opens up a stable Wormhole to the Star Trek Universe and contacts the Grand Negas of the Ferengi (Rom). He informs the Negas that a version of Earth is looking to gain some advanced technology and much profit can be had by trading with the Nations that have to resources. He only makes on prohibition. The Ferengi are forbidden in trading with Wakandans and any proxies they might try and use. And any such will result in the ROB fingersnapping away all of the wealth of the Ferengi. They are premitted in selling the approved nations.

Transporter Technology
Fusion Technology
Replicator Technology
Deflector Shield Technology
Tractor Beam Technology
Advanced Holographic technology
Advanced Medical Technology

The Nations with the resources in question have been informed of the arrival of Ferengi Merchants and have been given an initial amount of Gold Pressed Latinum to pay for 3 of the technologies listed above. They are also told about the resources they possess and gives them the means to safely extract it. And for a measure of safety. The ROB places in each nation a secret defense grid that will protect these nations from attack by any hostile force that will threaten them until they can upgrade their tech enough to defend themselves.

How does the events on MCU Earth progress from this point forward? How do the Ferengi make out with trade with MCU Earth? What do the Wakandan's do and how mad are they by being snubbed by the Ferengi?
 
One thing that happens is that the Ferengi find clever ways around the prohibition- which I think the ROB would laugh at. All the Ferengi need to do is to make smuggling that isn't state sanctioned (in fact the opposite) of Vibranium profitable...

And, then they get to have their cake sitting pretty while still having the cake in their stomachs nourishing them... the ghost of Klaue would probably be laughing his head off of what would ensue. I am pretty sure that some well-funded and well-armed smugglers and wildcat miners would severely fuck with Wakanda and its economy.

Anyways, I am pretty sure the future is bright for all of humanity...except, perhaps for Wakanda who will be coping and seething.

Technically the Wankanda has nothing the Ferengi need. Since they can mine Vibranium in outer space. And while Wakanda may be technologically advanced by MCU standards they lag behind the Ferengi in every possible way. Still Ferengi activity will have the Wakandan's fuming that they are no longer the top do in the Solar System.

Yes, and if the other nations of Earth are clever they can probably all leapfrog Wakanda to one degree or another. So unless enough technology trickles to them through natural spread of knowledge and trade...they'll be doomed to be an eternal backwater.

It occurs to me if they weren't limited, this could very well drive the Ferengi to barter for technologies at a frenetic pace. Buying new technologies, applying it for themselves (because they have lobes so why not double dip) and then sell these same technologies to Earth for a profit. WIN-WIN-WIN...Lose for Wakanda and perhaps anyone who'd have to deal with the Ferengi super-empire birthed by this process. So it is probably a good idea you limited them...though I think they can still barter for more technology to sell in these categories...

Say, will there be deposits off Earth for these (and perhaps other) nations to exploit once their supply runs dry?

Yes there is. But unfortunately for Wakanda they can't detect them via the ROB hiding them from them. But other Earth Nations with space capabilities will easily find them. Just Earth has the lions share of all the aformentioned resources. As in 80% of it.

MCU Earth has several centuries worth so they won't run out anytime soon.

One declaring they would not share any tech or Vibranium with the world and that they will remain the most powerful nation on Earth. And later a not so vailed threat of launching a war against the world if anyone sneaks into Wakanda to try and obtain Vibrainium.

Yep she is a piece of work for sure. And it is kind of why a lot of people in Universe and in IRL really don't like her ass.

Then Wakanda goes right back to being a Pariah state. Making such agreements, having the International community actually bend over backwards to help you and then stabbing them in the back isn't going to go down well. There will be sanctions and international trade cut off.

Wakanda is certainly a very advanced nation thanks to the edge Vibranium gives them. But they have neither the strength, resources or numbers to take on the world.

Indeed. And as the latest movie proved. Their vaunted defenses can be bypassed. In a real hot war a Nuke will find it's way into that country then a whole lot of bad things state happening inside that shield.

It wont come to nukes. Wakanda literally just doesn't have the numbers to be more than a regional threat. Hell even Killmonger knew that. That was why his plan was to start a race war across the planet with Wakanda as the main provider of weapons.

Russia doesn't have the logistics or means to support such an invasion. And given their troubles in Ukraine, a nation that doesn't have a Vibranium based energy shield around their capital and key infrastructure I'm not sure they'd do any better. Although the people they're fighting have what? Spears modified to fire energy bolts? Based on their performance in Infinity war...I'm not too impressed with what I saw. So, if the Russians could handle their logistics issues then yeah, maybe they could do it. Of course, Wakanda is land locked with no access to the Ocean, so that makes it even worse for Russia logistically and now politically as the nations around Wakanda aren't going to want any part of this conflict.

China is also highly unlikely. They have never undertook such a massive expeditionary mission like this. They have the manpower certainly, but they're untested in expeditionary warefare. China has made a lot of inroads into Africa in the last decade plus, so basing rights might actually work in their favor. But its hard to tell. But logistics also becomes a problem here for them too as they are VERY far from home and have to keep their units supplied. And of course the US wont want them to succeed and will put international pressure on China to ensure they don't. But not enough international pressure to help Wakanda as Im sure Wakanda has quite literally burnt all those bridges behind them.

So basically America fucks over both of them quite equally. Something we are VERY good at doing.:p

Because we all know Quark was right. He knew how to voice things the Federation humanity never wanted to acknowledge. Either way, as I see the scenario you've laid out, I see the Ferengi becoming invaluable trading partners with Earth, Wakanda being isolated until they get their heads out of their asses and Earth eventually reaching the stars.

Quark ironically was the most honest person in all of Star Trek. He told the uncomfortable truth to everyone that needed to hear it.
