According to the Book of Enoch the giants were 3000 Ells tall, that is about 4,500 feet, nearly a mile high. This is sometimes claimed to only be 300 Ells to make the story a little less ludicrous but that still puts the giants at three times the height of the Statue of Liberty. Even without any demonic power you prolly gon' need more than a deer rifle to put one down.

Goliath, by contrast, was a more reasonable "Four Cubits and a Span" which is 6'9" still a large guy but not physics-breaking and within reason he could die to a slingstone.

Hebrew Cubits not Greek Cubits. Goliath was 9ft tall. You have to remember Saul the first king of Israel was about 6ft 5in. Not exactly fear inducing on the battlefield.

They're well within what can expect to be the margin of error for ancient measurements of each other, less than an inch of difference.

Nine Feet comes from Masoretic texts giving his height as six cubits and a span. Four Cubits is what we know from Josephus, the Septuagint, and the oldest existing manuscripts like the dead sea scrolls. Either way, both are far saner than the Book of Enoch.

Goliath's brothers were just as big as he was. Goliath was just the chief brother of his clan. After his death they were taken out one by one. He was not just a big dude. Their were plenty of 6ft tall people in Israel for it to not be odd. Though the average height was in the 5ft 5in range. Note that King Saul was not called a Giant and he was tall. Goliath also had 6 fingers and 6 toes on his feet.

Angus MacAskill?

He, surprisingly, did not have the kinds of health problems people that tall usually have. He was just all around big and died at the age of 37 or 38 from "brain fever" in 1863 ... which was used by doctors back then for what can today be narrowed down to one of several serious illnesses.

EDIT: Scale Shaquille O'Neal (7'1", 325lbs according to NBA lies) up to Angus' 7'9" height using the square-cube law and they're about the same weight.

Yes,that one.Somebody like him would be terror on medieval battlefield, considering his strenght,if he get plate armour, would be unstoppable.
P.S if i were better writer,i would wrote about him transported to ASoIaF to fight for Starks, and strike down Mountain!

Oh his father was still a fallen angel. His father just impregnated a lot of women.

No possible, his clan would live for hundrets years there.Must be kind of normal giant, like that scottish dude.

Fairies, Giants, Nomes, Goatmen, and Bigfoots are the same class of things. They are Nephilim. All spawn of the Fallen Angels. And as a result have supernaturally long lifespans.

Bigfoot could be just hominid.Canada is big enough for them to hide there.
Fairies - /and elves/ - you are probably right.

Nomes and Goatmen - what they are? fauns?

Nomes are those little fuckers with the pointy hats. Goatman is basically a Satyr.

So,probably produce of imaginations.
We had "krasnoludki" in polish folklore - little dudes in red point hats. They help with making order in home,as long as you leave them some milk.
Since they supposed to rest under toadstools, which our people used before we get vodka to feel better, then i think that they were always products of that kind plays.

So,in my opinion, most of supposed neftilim are either another species, mutants or drunkard visions.
But - Kandahar giant seems legit.

It's Gnomes, and... I've never read of them being considered Nephilim before.
Or being taken seriously as something actually existing, at least among serious people...

You sir need to read more into the lore of other cultures outside of Europe. Those bastards are all over the globe. All supernatural creatures on this planet are spawn of the fallen angels.

Doubt that.
Our krasnoludki/gnomes,imps/ are probably product of eating muschrooms, other cryptids could be the same.
Yeti and Bigfoot could be real hominids.
giants like Goliath were just human mutants.
But,there could be some real Nephilims, like that Kandahar giant. If it was not hoax.

Angus MacAskill was well over 400 pounds - 400 plus pounds of frame mind you - he was lean and minimally muscled at that weight. All bones and tendons, mechanical strength/leverage
