The Amazing Thread of Classical (in the Popular Sense) Music

@Punch Card Girl Is it classical music? Because in actuality classical music is a specific era of music, and I guess style, isn't Glinka in the Romantic era? Though I would take that you mean classical as in what the majority of people misunderstand it to be, and I take it you know that this is incorrect, but are doing so for everyone else's sake?

So, if we are going for such music, and it includes Baroque and Romantic, and then I should share something I like, one of the best anthems ever,

You are perfectly correct, Sir.

Then, perhaps you should put something explaining that in the thread text, so that others might be educated?

Anyways, to make sure I am not posting without appropriate content, here is the best leitmotif ever (in my opinion),

Classical. I quite enjoy classical, though I most prefer things that are loud, have strong clear note and with a fast tempo.
Individual pieces moreso than entire concerto.

yes, I'm probably nuts.

Indeed, that is a beautiful memory and experience again. Thank you for linking it as I have begun to happily listen now.

And for tonight's contribution, Valentini's Sonata á 5.

The first time I heard this piece was in an episode of Space:1999 entitled Dragons Domain, used during the flyby of the Ultra Probe in a Deep Space Flight. I think they were trying for a 2001 vibe there.

Not classic in the sense of being made only in the 1990s, but check out this modern take on Baroque.

Going to say that I prefer the more period versions, but Carl Orff made some great music with the Carmina Burana, but I am not sure the music actually fits the lyrics and their themes,
