They were doing this for far longer then that, Crimean Tatars - Muslim themselves - raided south-eastern fringes of Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth, south-western areas of Russia, plus the Danube delta for slaves to be sold to the Ottomans.
They only "stopped" after Catherine the Great had Crimea conquered by Russian Empire.
So what I am hearing is when pushed, those the Muslims push against will fight back?

To reach said “breaking point” they need to make it so that it can’t be so easily brushed under the rug and has to be something or somethings which the majority of people get both extremely shocked and near-traumatized by seeing occurring

20-year-old Kujtim Fejzulai was born and raised in Vienna. He was of Albanian heritage.
He was one of 90 Islamic extremists living in Austria and was known to intelligence services.
He was jailed in April 2019 for attempting to join ISIS in Syria.
Released in December 2019 after it was deemed he wouldn't be a threat.
