Election 2020 So long Bernie! [DROPPED OUT; CAMPAIGN SUSPENDED]

Or, if you're not mentally fit, you could also seek student loan forgiveness based on disability; that's what I did.
See! Plenty if options! They are just lazy, so there is that. Physically is what stops them at this point. And as a very lazy solider... (who has done no PT is like..a week and a half) you can be lazy and still do well in the Army

To be fair, they may just not be aware they have those options; I spent years trying to pay back my loans with my disability money before someone told me loan forgiveness was a thing.

That is more of it not being known about compared to not having it. These people wanting this dont bother doing research. Dont bother looking for things if they are told it will be given to them. They are again, lazy

There comes a point where one must accept reality. Wisconsin was that moment for Bernie. Now he's gone and we have Trump about to utterly stomp Joe Biden. Bernie I think could have gave him a bit of a challenge.

It looks that way, but that actually isn't the case. I made that same mistake too, because Bernie Sanders had a lot of that populist energy in 2016 along with Trump. The problem here though, is that Bernie Sanders lost support. Look at the Wisconsin Primaries; Sanders lost 48.5% of his support between 2016 and 2020. Joe Biden actually managed to scoop up some of Sander's support. Even in his home state, Sanders has lost support. That populist support that Sanders retained is much diminished.

There are reasons for that.

  1. It must first be said that Sanders was facing a more crowded field, but that actually looked to have been to his advantage. Faced with that crowded field, Biden was not everyone's first pick. Hence why Sanders in more liberal areas was edging out major wins, even if he wasn't placing first. Biden and the DNC clearly made moves to consolidate votes behind Biden. The reason was obvious; divided they would lose to Sanders (even if he didn't clinch the nomination) and that would be a disaster (as I will explain later), but together Biden had enough power to roll over Sanders.
  2. COVID-19 destroyed Sander's talking points. When you look at the two, Sander's is just better at talking about his economic policies than Biden. Little wonder, as Sanders has lived in his communist/socialist dreamland for decades, where as Biden--being an actual politician, has had to morph and adjust based on popular whim, expert opinions, and consolidate that with his own ideological outlook. With the pandemic, the sudden shift in public focus made it impossible for previous talking points to hold. Biden, having both the experience (of what he can remember) and the staff to support that sort of pivot, made the pivot. It was a poorly made pivot, to the point of becoming meme worthy in its incompetence, but Sanders simply could not pivot. Overnight, all of Sander's talking points became entirely irrelevant and so was he.
  3. Much like virginity, you can only be a revolutionary once. In 2016, after Clinton forced Sanders into capitulation, he did what he had fought against in the past entire year of the primary; he embraced Clinton. Clinton, who was obviously part of the establishment. During that announcement, a third of Sander's own fans WALKED OUT ON HIM. Sander's didn't just lose in the eyes of his supporters (for that, they could accept), he sold them out.
  4. Since 2016, grater scrutiny has been placed upon Sanders's economic and social policies. Part of that was his greater profile in the public eye, but also because there was a great deal of anger and resentment towards Sanders. Where as before, one might have given Sanders the benefit of the doubt, he was not. He got utterly destroyed in a debate with Ted Cruz. And people aren't even really hot on Ted Cruz.
  5. It's come to light that Bernie Sanders is worth millions; three homes and major book sales. And instead of writing a fat check to Congress and lead by example, he has instead horded the wealth he demands other surrender. Bloomberg had him dead center in his debate; A multi-millionaire socialist who owns three homes. Not a good look.
  6. The economic climate in 2016 was nowhere nearly as good as it was in the past four years. The people who might have overlooked Sanders's communist leanings for the sake of a better future are not so keen now, with a rapidly growing economy and the Trump trade wars.
  7. The dude's a commie fag. Plain and simple. Looking at it strategically, Sanders would have had at best, mixed support from Yankeedom and the Midlands. His only real power was in New York City and the Left Coast. Tidewater and El Norte might have fallen in line, but it would have been a heavy loss. He had no support in Spanish Carribbean, Deep South, Appalachia, and the Far West. That means battleground states like Florida and Pennsylvania would have been an assured lost. You might even see a near or possible loss in Illinois. The loss to the Democrats would have been both in the House and the Senate. With Biden, they might retain the House.
  8. Bernie Sanders would have had no support from the Neo-Liberals, which means he would have had very little money to campaign with. In the eyes of the Neo-Liberals, Trump is an uneducated moron. Bernie Sanders is an economic disaster in the making. It would have assured complete and utter party disintegration.

Everytime I see people go "Burnie would get rid of my student loans!" And complain about how they are in dept for ever now since he dropped out. I always think "if you are fit and mentally able, join the army, they have student loan forgiveness". We could always use more infantry

But then how will they smoke their weed? Some big green meanie is going to make them do laps.

Laps, good sir, laps. What sort of heartless world do we live in where a man in the army has to do laps?

Next you'll tell us that they'll expect other things, like loyalty and sacrifice.

Oh plenty of people in the Army do drugs, smoke weed and the like. They just take a huge fucming risk doing it.

Laps make ya stronger!

And loyalty and Sacrifice make you better morally!

The endorsement of Biden almost immediately after ending the race is just rubbing salt into the wounds of BernieBros. Perhaps now the cult of Sanders will finally close up shop after doing the exact same thing twice.

There will still be enough around to seem like they’re a strong power, but even that’s just an illusion and depends on information control and gaslighting
