Important Site Update

As much as it galls me to thank the robes for anything, Comstar has managed to get the site mostly functional again (there are still a few glitches that are being worked on but we are 90% there). In the near future there will be a few new mods announced, along with some promotions as election season is upon us.

Honestly I am glad that things broke now rather than in October!

Going forward we will be enforcing our rules against advocating violence more strictly. In addition, mods have been advised that they are authorized to take unilateral action against posters advocating violence without needing to wait for anybody else on staff to consult. This is in addition to our normal enforcement mechanisms for our rules and TOS.

We are aware that the global stickies are still down, that particular add-on no longer appears to be updated and we are looking for a solution. For now, the rules are posted in the... gasp... rules subforum. Please review them and make sure that you are familiar with them, because we will be enforcing them more strictly.

Are you going to do more about unsubtle "it sure would be great if something happened which I am phrasing as a twist of fate, an- and- not as a recommendation for you based readers to carry out, ahahaha" posts, or are those still protected speech?
