Web Content Roosterteeth General Thread.

Hopefully a good roll of the die will bring them back from Hollywoods grasp.

Too little too late for RWBY at this point IMO. Unless they sell it to someone who reboots it. V8 was the last nail in the coffin for me at least.
Why? It was honestly one of thier best seasons.
It had some bad parts but could have been worse in other aspects like 4 or 5.

I personally hope they don't but if they do? Well that sucks. Time to find another show to be as invested in

No offence, but you have no taste. I'm fairly certain they could have posted three hours of the cast watching paint dry, and you would still be trying to defend it. Everyone else I've encountered who's seen it, beyond those who refuse to accept that RWBY was ever anything less than a masterpiece in audiovisual entertainment, says that season 8 is as bad as the show has ever been; which is pretty damn abysmal.

Must be nice to be that easily entertained....

Volume 8 us better then vol 4 and 5 combined. Both were dog shit compared to 8.

I just have diffrent taste. I am kinda done defending RWBY from QLL the hate any.ore as I know it isn't the best.

I'm just relaying what I've heard; as I said before, I stopped watching RWBY with Volume 3, and I have no intention to pick the show back up again.

Honestly, I'm a bit envious; there are so many things I wish I could have liked, or could still like. Although I'd settle for being able to permanently let go of my hatred for works like RWBY, because having it rekindled every so often is emotionally exhausting.

I mean generally, there are a lot of things I just love that i know others dont.

Seems like Rooster Teeth is getting really desperate to justify their continued existence. I'm thinking they've got maybe a year tops before they're shut down, and cannibalized for talent and equipment by other studios. I doubt there's much of the former left though, to be honest; most anyone worth a damn already got while the getting was good.

“Despair for the conceited.”

🤔.

They lost death battle. Aside from RWBY (which people are long over) what do they have?
I don't think they have RWBY, that's owned by Viz Media and has yet to be repurchased by Burnie as of this writing (if it ever happens).

Anyway, personally I can't be too optimistic about this development myself, the company ran its brand and IPs (most certainly including RWBY) into the ground for a decade and most of the people who made the content old timey RT fans liked have long since moved on (Gavin, Geoff, Ray), have become obnoxious & unfunny (Jack, Jeremy, most of the RWBY bigshots by the end) or are long dead (Monty). I am reminded of Stuttering Craig wanting to buy ScrewAttack back some time ago, or G4's very short lived revival becoming a meme for all the wrong reasons. Even if Burnie could get some of the oldtimers back, bringing back the 'talents' who weighed the company down in its final, wokest and most toxic years seems like it would just be a recipe for disaster around the level of Adam Sessler & Frosk.

Maybe Burnie just wanted the company name back since he built the brand up to its peak and still has some unfulfilled dreams involving RT, and/or wants something to do wherever he's at with the millions he's got from cashing out back in 2019-20. In that case I can't fault him for wanting his baby back, but I also wouldn't expect any more RWBY-sized projects (much less bringing RWBY itself back from the dead) from such a modest revival either.

I want an RvB reboot, and a RWBY reboot.
While we're wishing for unicorns, I want the Grimm to be actually threatening to the heroes and generated through some fashion other than magic goop so they have a method of being defeated that's not MacGuffin hunts.
