ROB has decided to give you your very own planet, with a twist.

Dracs and Capellans are generally viewed as villains, Word of Blake and Rim Worlds Republic even more so. Depending on who you ask, Clans are all villains or only some of them.
From what I've heard about MW, most factions there are all pretty scummy.

That's why I was asking. I know the authors favor the Fed Comms, but there is at least some moral ambiguity with good Dracs, bad Feds, etc.

Same with RTS games where you can play as both sides like who is good in Star Craft the Terrans, and Protoss have their own things.
Same with Supreme Commander who is good and bad between the UEF, Cybrans, and Aeon Iluminate?

Then just pick a source where the fqcton you want to pluck a planet from is the baddies or choose a very similar planet from an actually villainous faction one that is you know, on an expansionist spree and/or genociding their neighbors.

I think then all of the Sup com factions would qualify.

Also one option you gave was Chaos, but Chaos is shit. Could we pick Imperium?

EDF and the xeno-lovong buffoons are closest, as are those guys who decided to ditch Daddy Brain in a Jar.

NO!

Canonically they are the closest to good guys that 40k has.

But you can pick any planet of the Maelstrom Adjacent Autonomous Imperial Resource Extraction Zone Grid after Lufgt Huron took over.

Or, rogue mechanicum planets from just before the start of the HH.

EDF? Also are you saying the Aeon are bad? Their religion is actually true so they are better than the cyborgs.

See this is what I was asking because if you say a group that does genocides and are space nazis are the good guys, then if you can play as them you can ask what makes a bad or good guy.

The terran military dudes that gdvs off Murikah vibes.

And the alien worshiping gold plated hippies were actually worshiping a bunch of genocidal aliens bent on invading our reality. ;)

Yes, but 40k is grimdark and the Imperioum are the canonical good guys.

Ohh the UEF.

As for the Aeon, not all of them worship the aliens. And the way does give psychic powers so it's the truth. They should conquer the universe and force it on everyone.

es, but 40k is grimdark and the Imperioum are the canonical good guys.
What about the Tau? Or the Eldar, or Necrons?

Their whole cult started because "a xenophobic UEF commander" nuked the original alien incursion they were working with.

What about the Tau? Or the Eldar, or Necrons?
Is there a particular point to this discussion and a reason why you can't pick something form the huge selection of stuff already presented to you?
Eldar do not have worlds. only worldships, which are just basically large ships.
Necrons - fine.
Tau - fine.

But the original aliens weren't an incursion it was their planet and they were peaceful. The other aliens are the outcasts who were not part of the main society.

Because those aliens are different mentally than humans normal humans can be violent and be moderate about it, but the aliens who follow the way can only be pacifist, or Imperialist warmongers who are basically the Imperium only for aliens.

Well I already gave my possible answers, so I'm just seeing what other options are there.

Also why is the Tau evil but not the Imperium?

I told you, as long as they are not the objective good side in the series and do not conduct nasty shit that is genocidal, anti rule of law, etc....
Also why is the Tau evil but not the Imperium?
Cause the Tau are communist you silly goose.
Yeah, and because, you know, they are kinda genocidal at times, kinda have this whole 1984 thing going on, kinds fine using nasty methodis to do population control, etc.

The Federation was justified because they were fighting bugs most of them are literal animals only the brain bugs are smart.

Also all that stuff the Tau does the Imperium does also so how is the Imperium the objective good guys lol?
