Apparently Amazon Prime and TheOneRing.Net are Livestreaming together since the latter shills for the new LOTR so much.

Sadly for some inexplicable reason... Chats disabled.

Not sure why the video got privated... It was live and accessible when I posted it last night.

This show is going to suck more cock than Shadow of War.

At least you could make the argument that Shadow of War had really fun gameplay as it used the lore as toilet paper, what with it’s sexy spider titties, nazgul Isildur, and timeline that doesn’t make any sense if you engage your brain and think about it for more than five minutes.

I wouldn’t be sympathetic to that argument, but I could understand it.

This? This doesn’t even look like it’s going to be fun…

I’m going to make a bold prediction. This is going to be worse than the Hobbit movies.

I respectfully disagree. With how this series is shaping up, it will likely bring an end to the childish Black and White morality of the original series and present the viewers with more 'gray' morality, adapting the themes of Game of Thrones to show a more nuanced and multifaceted world of shifting loyalties and comparable value systems and cultures.
If this show is even as good as the last season of Game of Thrones, I will honestly be shocked.

It occurs to me that the very existence of this whole project completely validates Tolkien's whole thesis about the general arc of history and about the nature of corruption.

This also reminds me of the words of that other great traditionalist, Nicolás Gómez Dávila: "Modernity will not be punished. Modernity is the punishment."

Shadow of Mordor/War was always something I liked but considered an alternate continuity of canon with little if no relation to the books or Jacksons connected continuity, the only thing I adopted as being cannon from it was the look of Celebrimbor as well as voice and the looks of the various locations of Mordor minus the OC creatures.

I mean dear god to go down the checklist and in AngryJoe's words.

"Where are all the White Orcs that are nice to everybody?!!! Your being racist against White Orcs! This is ridiculous! I can't believe this is underrepresenting White Orcs and good orcs. F*ck the series and I am going to rally everybody! (Sarcasm)

I mean I felt the series might at least be 'decent' considering the money involved but the bigger they are the harder they fall.

I doubt this will be the last one. They never seem to lose enough money to not do it anymore. It has gotten to the point that I really think the old "Hollywood has become risk-adverse" argument/explanation/bitching point is bullshit. I used to think that myself, but the way they keep losing money on this woke bullshit and just keep spending money on it makes me think all this reboot nonsense leading up to this was just all part of some moronic propaganda plan.
