/Pol/ Opinion

/Pol/ is scary, I just hope I never get noticed and targeted by the board when they have one of their moments....

Internet vigilantism is scary and morally wrong*. I may laugh when they hit someone who I may dislike, but I realize that is a moral failing on my part and I shouldn't.

*As far as vigilantism itself can be argued to be morally right or wrong I suppose. That's a heavy quagmire to delve into.

The two things that stuck with me where the Isis camp bombing, and Shia.
oh, and that burger King guy.

As I edited in after you quoted me, its a big can of worms, I mean on one hand I certainly see it as a good thing they caught the guy who was putting his feet in lettuce. On the other hand such steps can go horrible wrong real fast. Its a tricky subject.

Most people targeted by /pol or kiwifarms bring it on themselves by spewing their personal drama all over the internet. The easiest way to avoid this is just act like a mature adult when interacting with others on the internet.*

*I do imagine a fair amount of intentional baiting goes on, but that just means the best anti-dote is not responding to it. Dignity is a sign of class.

Yeah, as a thread its not something I've ever really gotten into. I think I get most of the benefits that is does produce waiting for the couple of gems they do create to migrate to other places, often with me staying totally oblivious to their 4chan origin.

But, in the end its just a forum like this one, just with a structure I don't really like as much as the Sietch/spacebattles type of forum. I likewise never could really get into Reddit either: its structure just doesn't really appeal.

Their casual offensiveness is just so refreshingly open it's a sight to watch from afar.

What did Duke mean by this?

Just so you all know, real-world Ben Garrison almost certainly isn't some crazy "kill all non-whites" wacko. That's just the meme-version of him pushed by a few extreme-right internet trolls who think it funny - and swallowed hook, line and sinker by self-righteous SJW types who prefer to believe bad things about anyone who isn't like them.

Take home lesson: if you become a public figure, there are people out there who will gleefully compose lengthy quotes out of thin air and attribute them to you.

Yeah i know that. he's just a libertarian that makes political comics .i wonder why /pol/tards love to make troll edits of him.

Duke don't try to understand 4chan for in that way lies the path of madness and mountain dew just keep your distance and hope and pray you never piss them off.
Yeah 4chan is scary when they're on a warpath , like with what they did to Tumblr years ago .

Ben - Empty My Nine at the Welfare Line - Garrison is memed about as much as Mike - Ten megawatts a day keeps the gay away - Pence is. Which is a lot.

Internet Historian ran a pretty thorough documentary on the matter. It's worth a watch.
On the history of the memeing of Garrison or on the why it's done? I've always assumed it was because his political comics do just read as masked versions of the harder right stuff. Like there's one where IIRC it's the elites with the two boots kicking the dude down the road and each boot is labelled after the political parties? Pol just changed it to jews rather than the elites and it fits pretty much the same. Garrison stuff is easy to make look like explicit anti jewish ethnonat material.
