I haven't spent much time there, so I can't really say from personal experience. They seem to piss off a lot of terrible people, so that is a point in their favor. When anything goes with regard to freedom of speech, you're going to see a lot of idiocy, but you may also see a few real gems of truth that aren't revealed elsewhere. That being the case, I support their existence but anything you read there should be taken with a grain of salt.

Ye, just make sure to stay away from the users talking about recruitment into groups like Atomwaffen or whatever they were called just as a safety measure. The line between shitposting and well, that, is very blurry indeed.
Ultimately though? If you go to Pol for anything but offensive fun then you're in the wrong place most likely.
