Pentagon disbands DEI agency.

Tiamat

I've seen the future...
Dunno if this goes in the politics or war college sub forumā€¦but for a bit of good news, the Pentagon has disbanded the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion šŸ¤¢šŸ¤® Agency after some interesting tweets surfaced.

Unfortunately personnel of said agency will be dispersed within the Pentagon and DODDS. šŸ¤¬

As is often the case with the military (at least, in the case of Britain) the Armed Forces aren't actually all that happy about wokery being shoved into places it just doesn't belong, but there's usually some flowery worded legislation that forces them to have this nonsense.

If one scrapped a few of the so called "Equality Acts", you'd find a good chunk of the problem would melt away overnight.

US SECDEF Lloyd Austin & Co., saw the handwriting on the wall.

Everything must be based on MERIT!

Saw a video of him getting raked over the coals by congressional Republicans recently and he defended everything. He tried to pass off the tweets this person made by saying it was made on her own time on her personal social media. The thing that probably made them actually do something was that she was shilling for her books on the government dime, which is literally illegal. Naturally, she will face no actual consequences for it, because now they will say that they disbanded the agency, just like how with the tweets, they moved her from the position she had been in before rather than fire her, and claimed that was discipline enough.

They're not going to kick personnel from the service just because they were assigned to an office that was a massive cluster-fuck. On the other hand, if those people were hand picked for their positions by the, now former, head of the department, that may well end up as a black mark on their record that will see their chances for promotion dead in the water.

Naaah, this is government. They'll fail upwards.
