Colonies take the culture of a country of the time of colinization freeze dry them and amp them up.

New york city was a dutch colony, formed by dutch adventurers. The baseline culture of tolerance and hyper capitalism of the dutch was amped up to the 9s and then was americanized. The result is functionally a city state that is different then the rest of the surrounding region which creates a kind of fortress mentality added to all of that.

Plus side, their tough as hell and make good businessmen, down side is that the area is too open and occasionally runs into fucking disaster because its a train with no breaks.

The "vegan stereotype" exists for very good reasons. I've met a few sane vegans, but they're a proverbial one out of ten minority, with the rest being batshit.

If you meet a vegan, always expect them to be the stereotypical nightmares/social cancers until and IF they prove otherwise.
