Just get some butter, Olive oil, fresh garlic, chop up the garlic real fine, mix with some salt (unless your butter is salted) and mix it all together. I make my own garlic bread from time to time, but most of the time I just want it done without any prep.Just get some butter, Olive oil, fresh garlic, chop up the garlic real fine, mix with some salt (unless your butter is salted) and mix it all together. Let it sit at room temp for a couple days and then refrigerate to keep longer.
If you want to go the extra mile with it, get an Italian herb blend and sprinkle some of that in.
Then when you want garlic bread, just buy the bread at the store and spread it on. Put it under the broiler 30-60 seconds. Bam. Super easy to spread because the olive oil. And it's Wayyyyy better garlic bread than you'd get at the store...and that garlic oil/butter you made comes in handy for all sorts of things.
