Modern Food Controversies! The Food Pyramid, Seed Oils, Corn Syrup, the 'F' in FDA, Processed Foods and More!

Trying to find garlic bread here which doesn't contain seed oils is so fucking hard. There is one, ONE fucking type of garlic bread at the supermarket that has only butter. And apparently Costco's garlic bread is 'the real deal' too.

So many people have no clue what's even in their food, and the all-butter garlicbread tastes WAY better.

I mean, I could also see Olive Oil being pretty good as a basis for garlic bread. Probably not AS good as butter, but I've found that Olive Oil infused with salt, herbs, and spices also goes pretty good on bread.

Unfortunately it specified margarine, not olive oil. X_X

Best of both worlds is olive oil blended with butter.

I do that frequently in things I cook.

Just get some butter, Olive oil, fresh garlic, chop up the garlic real fine, mix with some salt (unless your butter is salted) and mix it all together. Let it sit at room temp for a couple days and then refrigerate to keep longer.

If you want to go the extra mile with it, get an Italian herb blend and sprinkle some of that in.

Then when you want garlic bread, just buy the bread at the store and spread it on. Put it under the broiler 30-60 seconds. Bam. Super easy to spread because the olive oil. And it's Wayyyyy better garlic bread than you'd get at the store...and that garlic oil/butter you made comes in handy for all sorts of things.

I make my own garlic bread from time to time, but most of the time I just want it done without any prep.

I mean, the prep involved is spreading some pre made garlic butter onto it lol. It's like 10 seconds more than buying it with butter already on it, for far superior results.

Okay, heading off to get the garlic bread ingredients. Will update once it has been cooked and consumed.

Soybean oil is worse than fructose for health - it reduces testosterone, mimicks estrogen, and causes obesity. But that is far from being the worst thing about the soy.
