Don't bet on it. For all that journalists prattle on about how being woke is good, the results of what happens when companies do try to cater to the social justice the actual consumer base has consistently demonstrated that it really doesn't like it. And that's all that needs to be said.

Are parents still lazy and more then happy to let a tv or a computer keep their kids entertained? Then the generation will have people who are raised on nerd culture of some variety.

They're not doing that because quite simply outrage sells better. Simply put their job is to get as many clicks as they possibly can so they go with the easiest way to do so. Add that some of them are activists first and journalists second, coupled with some being friends with their subject matter and it's hardly surprising they'd instantly shove their politics in.

Kinda sounds like those older stereotypes of “cool kids”, they’re less into playing videogames or reading books and comicbooks, and more into texting and calling each other on the phone, getting drunk and doing parties

I may not live in the West, but let’s put it this way, they’re not thinking of or truly aware of “the community that they are robbing from” they are THINKING FOR said community

They’re doing this in their mind to “help” and “feel good” and maybe look relevant. They don’t necessarily have to live in or near or see said communities themselves or even listen to the input and see whatever rising problems they have.

They’re not even being the usual stereotype of douchebag rich people, so they can’t see their faults anyway.

If anyone wants an example of that kind of behavior and character in fiction, look up Hugh Taigh from Travis J Corcoran’s Aristillus. The guy thinks of doing “urban planning” that involves destroying the “slums” and relocating the people who actually own the land or pay the rent and when he meets a Nigerian girl who tells him off for slandering Aristillus and how they allow to have so much farm animals because “farming land is limited” he just looks at her as if she’s an ignorant poor minority in-spite of her intelligence and non-school gained intelligence(she studies online)

I'm not sure what to call that sentiment since it's a trait that happens in different forms.

Right now it's just activism to feel good about yourself without considering the consequences.

Previously it's stuff of the consequences of interfering in a proxy war. The locals would be the ones to feel the brunt of it.

Try showing yourself to be the underdog, the actual victim in the situation.
