#MeToo and Cancel Culture: Friday is bring your own torches and pitchforks day!

No when I say Minecraft it's a substitute term for suicide presumably to get past censors by telling people to Minecraft themselves.

I don't know how important Alec is but it's his death that will leave a stigma on the developers that worked with him that people will remember.

Probably not with the twitter & hipster & SJW crowd though

The actual fans/buyers/gamers/players will look on in horror even if they didn’t like or know of the dude like so many are fans of Vic

A quick background check will raise quite a lot of red flags if these people look for another job.

Will a Dev who heard about this really risk it working with them? They could end up joining Alec.

If they are smart, they probably won't, though ideological conditioning might override intelligence in this case.

So you can have the police lecture you about how much of a slut you are and possibly try to get you in legal trouble before the case is dropped due to "lack of evidence?"
Opinions like these do more damage to actual rape victims then any number of disbelieving people by convincing them that going to the police is useless.
In cases like these, there usually isn't very much physical evidence for police to go off. The only way to verify the allegations is to see if other people involved in the industry can corroborate their experiences. However, since police generally aren't willing to discreetly contact hundreds of people to see if any of them report similar incidents, publicly announcing allegations is pretty much necessary if you want to have a reasonable chance of finding any form of legal recourse.
This is actually retarded. People will lie constantly when you have mobs like these because they know that they won't be held accountable for doing so. We've seen it multiple times between what happened with moments like "hands up don't shoot" where the so called witnesses swore up and down that they'd seen it happen until they got dragged into a court of law where lying would have consequences and promptly shut their mouths and ran away, to the guy in the Vic case who claimed on twitter to have had Vic touch his friend's chest and had a police report only for it to turn out that not only was there no such report at all, but that said touching amounted to Vic's hand passing by their chest which they thought nothing of at the time who would also go on to run away. That's just off the top of my head.

So no. "corroborating experiences" is little more then an excuse for people to join in on lying about someone to destroy them without any consequences for doing so.

So on a different me too involving assault anyone know about the one where Chris Hansen went after a livestreamer onlyusemeblade?

The girl who claimed to be assaulted went to the police so something done right?

Please don't bring up Chris Hansen; the man has done more to hurt society than all of the predators he lured onto his show combined.
