In public, yes; but in private? I don't think anyone in Hollywood actually wants Weinstein to be punished for his transgressions by the state; because that would set a precedent which, considering how many in Hollywood are more than likely guilty of something that deserves jail time, would be undesirable to them.
The MeToo# broke the deal between Hollywood and the Left its not public but as some one you lived in cali and LA it went like this.
The deal was that Hollywood would pay daneguild, they would give the democratic party and feminist organizations money and in return would be left alone. If you did get caught with your pants down you would give a public apology, you would give some money to a feminist organization and then go to therapy for sex addiction and that would be that.
The deal was firmly broken by Metoo, and no its not about justice or helping women get that out of your head. The true motivation was power and money. It was past actresses who can no longer get by on their looks looking for one last payday and feminists looking for ever more power.
And it worked the women in question got some more cash and attention, the feminists have forced a bunch of horrible woke trash down our collective throats, the problem was there was a price to be paid. Hollywood is fucking PISSSED about this and terrified but holy fuck are they pissed. A bunch of activists just publically took a shit on a now generations old deal. This reverberated through hollywood and the corperate world their not yet willing to actually fight the monster they created but money has been withdrawn and knives are being sharpened.
You will notice that the democrats were so starved of cash that they just essentally broke all of their rules to let some one bribe their way into the debates a large chunk of that is hollywood/La showing its displeasure. The old deal is dead and gone the Woke crowd proved in the most primary way that no one is safe, and the state is running out of money my bet is that LA is looking for revenge and scape goats and combining the two is the most likely option.
