It's at least plausible; Cavill is a pretty hardcore gamer and it's known that he was increasingly unhappy with Witcher being primarily based on the original books and not the video game adaptation. It's pretty over the top behavior, but I can definitely see him trying to stage an internal coup and trying to push the writing more towards the video game version.

Uh, if the genders are flipped, that's literally routine business in movie and TV. Female leads make such complaints all the time, and there's really no way to make it a blanket "I will not do X" unless you're a big name star with traction to negotiate *or* in a financial position where you can make it a "or I walk" ultimatum.

Dude, if some female star said she wasn't going to do topless love scenes anymore, and the male writers complained about that, and how difficult it was to work with her, yes, that would be "normal," but so would the same women with the shoe on the other foot blasting those writers for saying that. Further, the actress would be seen as a champion for standing her ground and not wanting to "demean" herself by being "objectified" in this way.
Sure, but I'd say the Weinstein business definitely illustrates just how little traction even very big name actresses actually had in the industry, and that was for *actual sexual assault* and not just "pressuring an actress to do more stuff".

Given that ratings for such garbage shows (see Rings of Power, as an example) are literally costing the studios making them billions at worst, multimillions at best, I don't think it'll be too long before a lot of studios are "reorganized" (in corporate speak).
I mean, Netflix is in the shit already. They really can't afford, both monetarily and by reputation, to do dumb shit like this. smh
