...I'm a bit confused why this was spun off into its own topic, given my post was an agreement of such cases (requiring a machine that keeps corpses 'alive') being outliers (with a parallel "shit happens" example of another outlier to show how low-a-probability such Wuhan Virus outliers are), but okay? I'd say slowly being pinned and crushed to death by your own car due to a mechanical fault, but that unfortunately happened with Anton Yelchin in 2016.

A guy in my hometown survived it as a kid, some fifty years ago, albeit his father caught his fall before he could fully fall in the cauldron so only part of his head and one of the arms were covered with it. They took him to the hospital where doctor decided that since caramel had already cooled, trying to get it off right away would hurt the skin even more, so they waited until it hardened, got a small hammer and broke it off him. I don't know what they did with broken off candy.
