And 98% of mainstream media and press... :p

Politico said:
As Democrats seek to reach out to Latino voters in a more gender-neutral way, they’ve increasingly begun using the word Latinx, a term that first began to get traction among academics and activists on the left.

But that very effort could be counterproductive in courting those of Latin American descent, according to a new nationwide poll of Hispanic voters.

Only 2 percent of those polled refer to themselves as Latinx, while 68 percent call themselves “Hispanic” and 21 percent favored “Latino” or “Latina” to describe their ethnic background, according to the survey from Bendixen & Amandi International, a top Democratic firm specializing in Latino outreach.

More problematic for Democrats: 40 percent said Latinx bothers or offends them to some degree and 30 percent said they would be less likely to support a politician or organization that uses the term.

Furthermore, almost half of them find the term 'Latinx' offensive to some degree.

It's also not a "generational" thing either.

It goes from 2% overall to 4% among those Latines under thirty. Over two thirds consider themselves 'Hispanic' in the aforementioned age group which ironically is higher then that of many older generations of Latinos.

It makes sense, Hispanics seem to be going the way of the Italians and other Southern Europeans; they're assimilating into the White majority rather than trying to remain their own thing.

Latinx is such an imposed bastardization, I'm a bit sad the woke crowd are beginning to wake up to the fact that nobody wants them using this mildly offensive term because screw those guys.

Right Wing Latinx Republican Senators Marco Rubio of Florida and Ted Cruz of Texas are trying to erase their own cultural heritage by banning use of the term 'Latinx' in federal use.

The spread of multiracial White Supremacy has reached the highest halls of power and it's unsurprising that two of the most outspoken Multiracial White Nationalists, who hail from extremely red states that oppress their sizable Latinx populations, are backing a bill that supports the erasure of the Latinx Community.

You know, I wonder where they help the term Latinx came from? Hispanic and Latino both have understandable origins. Hispanic is from Hispaniola. Latino is because they speak a derivative of the Latin language. Latino is also the male form of the language while the female form is Latina. Yes, the language has different words for different genders. Simps get over it. So where the hell is Latinx from?

A bunch of left wing academics decided it was sexist and decided to enforce their unalateral decision on everyone with out consulting anyone including the latino community again....

It's worth noting the same people have celebrated the loss of terms like aviatrix, waitress, and stewardess in favor of only using the male term for both genders. Apparently actually being able to state the gender of the person in a single word is sexist.

If they stay true to form, and the Latin community doesn't break them of it, I imagine there will eventually be a push to retire the article La entirely and make all words male-gendered only for the sake of "equality."
