Never forget for the ties Israel has to Russia, because of Russian Jews escaping from progoms, the USSR backed Israel's enemies for most of it's history and Russia is allied with Iran.

New Thread Made. It was a lot easier to prune then I thought. There weren't many posts in the twenty seven page thread about the events of the conflict itself.
This thread is mainly for updates on the events pertaining to the conflict itself and direct discussion of those events for clarifying or informative purposes and the like, much like our Ukraine War Thread.
If you want to discuss the events, politics, historical context, ideology around the conflict or other tangentially related discussion including if you want to engage in tear harvesting, ree'ing, virtue signaling or long winded discussions with other people for pages and pages of arguing and bickering etc you can do so in the original thread in the Politics & Current Affairs Forum and can be found here:

It's not alleged. A sick bastard recorded it on a victim's phone and uploaded the execution on social media. They were scrubbed within minutes but they were quickly backed up and shared on other sites!
Even in a blood feud with Outcasts and Oathbreakers children are sacrosanct. Even a cannibal clan's children under two years old are spared. They are too young to know and remember. They beheaded mothers and their toddlers. Why would anyone support these aswang!? These aren't humans.

People probably shouldn't steal the guns. That goes for whether your a member of the Civilian Security Team or the Government. Certainly didn't work out for either group.
Currently thousands of assault rifles as well as helmets and body armor are being distributed to Israeli settlements near or in the West Bank.

As at home, so abroad.
Our 'leadership' insists on ignoring, and re-learning the lessons of history. Specifically, the reasoning behind jacksonian realism abroad and broken window policing at home. Existence trends towards entropy. Humanity trends towards crime, barbarity, and cruelty. Constant work is required to prevent, or at least mitigate, this inescapable fact. What we call civilization, what we have fooled ourselves into believing is a 'normal' state of decency, peaceful trade, and liberty, is not normal. It is the rare and precious exception to the vast majority of human history. War, tyranny, and barbarity are the norm, and have been since humanity first came down from the trees. Whenever we choose to stop making the effort to maintain our abnormally beneficial arrangements, we revert to the brutal mean.
Terrorism will stop being used only when the price, to the terrorists, those who support them, those who fund them, and most importantly, those who cast a blind eye to them, becomes too high to bear any longer. Given how bloody minded humanity can be, and that is probably going to require far more death and destruction than any normal* person would feel comfortable with.
*I'm a sociopath, so it is all cost-benefit ratios to me. The cost of x thousand dead strangers vs the benefit of improved liberty and defense for the few people I care about is a good bargain from my perspective.
Damn, if Hamas's initial plan was only for a quick raid and a few hostages to negotiate building a seaport, then they got unexpected success because of how slow the IDF response was initially/the first strikes decaped the Command Post around Gaza. Now some in Hamas are scared of what their 'success' will bring.

Hamas fires more terror rockets at civilians, continues to ignore the 100k strong army on their border. Steiner's counterattack vibes. If they targeted the troops at least they could delay or disrupt the invasion, instead they choose to keep trying to slaughter innocent civilians.
