I just got sued (and so might you have): Woman sues all gays.

Fringe cook files amusing lawsuit, news at 11.

This'll get thrown out pretty quickly. Hopefully the woman will be required to pay court costs, or a modest portion thereof if she's poor.

Don't waste the court's time like this. And I say that as someone who thinks homosexuality is a sin.
Oh, yeah. It's pretty stupid. I just thought someone might find it amusing. I've never been sued before.

Here is a link to the actual petition that she sent, written by hand in cursive.

I don't know why so many people get their panties in a bunch over gays, especially when there are so many other important issues. Even for a devout religious conservative, it seems like abortion would be the focus.

It's from 2015, so I assume it hasn't gone anywhere.
Ah, apparently I missed the date on this. Still hilarious though.

Well, let's change our perspective on this a little bit. Think of her not as someone who expects a lawsuit to go anywhere, as she doesn't actually even ask for anything. Instead, think of this as a way to get publicity for her cause, which it has to some degree. I mean, look here we are reading about her on the internet.

I actively dislike the gays and even I think that this is excessive and weird. I suppose as a way to draw attention to yourself it's not exactly the worst thing.

It's a bit of a tangent, but what do you dislike about gays?
They're sexual deviants.

EDIT: That was a bit too pithy so I'll expand. The idea of homosexuality is in of itself indicative of a moral failing of society. It's a deviance that only become accepted when a society itself becomes flawed and overly accepting; until then it's rightly shamed. There is no 'normal gay' or socially acceptable gayness; no matter how much people opine that it's 'what they do in their own bedroom' because they will without fail always push for it to be open.

You know, on the one, rational, hand, the American court system and its accessibility to the common individual is a wonderful thing. People have opportunity to redress grievanes, delay massive public works projects, regain rights and earn compensation for injustice committed against them and others...All that good stuff.

On the other hand...People are stupid and use the court system to be stupid.
