Huge spikes in excess deaths and media silent.

Same. Minimum compliance possible(as I stood a good chance of being fired if I didn't, and courts here won't side with me).
I risked giving up my job over it. I would have lost my home and everything, and they went right up to the last day to approve my religious exemption, probably hoping I'd cave and get it.

Yeah it would have sucked to lose my home and job, but weighing the risks, that seemed less bad than dying of sudden heart failure.

One of those things is a set back, the other is irreversible.

I had initially had an attitude of 'I'll get it at some point,' but purely on the basis of how it was being pushed, decided not to.

We aren't even sure if this is 100% jab related, millions of people being cooped up at home would have increased stress and decreased vitamin D synthesis and both are correlated with heart problems and lowered immune system.

Sure, the vaccines are probably contributing, but correlation is not always causation.

The big problem is they this is ignored, despite it being worse than COVID, whatever 'it' is.

It is more proof governments and so called experts all over are feckless, incompetent lemings on it for themselves.

Indeed. I'm not anti-vaccination at all. I'm very much Pro-vaccination. But the way they were pushing this one so hard had me at first curious...then worried...then very, very alarmed. Same for my Boss. He made it clear he was not going to push any of us to get vaccinated if we chose not too. The only two people we have who did get vaccinated are suffering health problems.

The Brazilian Supreme Court authorized companies to fire you if you refused to take the jab. Things here are very different from the USA.

Around here about 20-30% got jabbed officially.
"Officially" meaning some doctor wrote that they were jabbed and got a subsidy, then probably got an extra, informal "subsidy" from the "jabbed" person.

Living in a low trust, high corruption society where no one trusts gubrmint hath its privileges.
It cost about 200 levs, which is about 100 euros or dollars, just FYI. ;)

I was very blessed, I suffer from a condition where my mobility is hindered and statistical speaking I am more at risk for more severe blood clots than the average Joe. So all I had to do was explain that one of the potential side effects of the jab was blood clots and everyone I talked to completely understood that for my situation the complications from the protection are most likely going to be worse than the complications from the Virus itself. Sounds like it's not just the disabled at risk.
