How would Nixon dealt with R.f.k in 68 or 72?

Oh boy, Tricky Dick against the Kennedy Clan... remember Tricky Dick was just bad in the TV debates when he ran against JFK. While he would have improved, the only real reason is that the Dems of the time fielded someone seemingly worse. The Kennedy Clan though had been movers and shakers of US politics for decades. The Kennedys were also TV-geneic compared to the majority of the competition.

With TV I really doubt that Nixon beats any Kennedy. Hes a fat sweaty old man whole the Kennedys are young strong handsome men. Should that matter no does it matter oh hell yes. So yeah the dude would likely get wrecked due to fat, sweaty, and old. Is it right no but it's how elections actually go down.

The thing is that Nixon was someone that had quite a bit of experience in the political world, RFK on the other hand is from a political dynasty and with all that it entails. RFK (and other political dynasties in the US) had one advantage that -simply put- had everyone else didn't have: multiple generations of political connections.

If the Kennedy clan wanted something done politically, they know just who to call and negotiate with.

Nixon would try portraying RFK as an anti-war squish or something like that. Also perhaps try portraying him as inexperienced and as someone who only has a political career due to nepotism. 1968's outcome is a tossup, but 1972 should still result in a Nixon victory, only narrower. The economy was recovering by November 1972 and Nixon had already pulled most or all US troops from Vietnam by then.
