My disappointment comes little from this site and more from people cucking the imperial presidency while at the same time professing to be for the right when they aren't but are getting off of the idea that conservative FDR will save them.

Only shitheads will say "Stop playing the Leftist Game!" before proceeding to play by their exact same playbook and rules for the exact same end of getting a strong man in charge and increasing federal power which in turn will almost immediately be usurped and used against us.

The single rightwing strong man who will save us is as much of an illusion as FDR's saving American domestically was.

Are you high? My point isn't to prove FDR is some fucking successful holy saint, it's to point out why the average voter who was illiterate at the time saw him as a sucess while they saw minarchist policies as failures.

So yeah, your 'theories' are fucking irrelevant to proving that otherwise unless you have any documented proof that they were wildly, accepted, followed. or assumed true by a huge portion of the American voting public at the time.

I mean I swear it's like you have this fixation that I am trying to fix FDR who is extremely far down most of my lists of top presidents, only getting number one on my list of "Most Overated.

Yeah that's why the strategy of the right should be to ruthlessly and ceaselessly demonize and mock the institutions, demonize public employees and do everything in power to gut the federal government, shut down as much of the private end of the globohomo on the way out etc . The strategy of the New Right is castigation and "civic and corporate proscription" and only fools want a strong man.

Also you have a weird definition of right wing, conservativism isn't the only form of right wing thought and it's a very centre right view.

There are a great deal if right wing schools of thought that wholly embrace authoritarianism and they are far more authentically right wing than American conservatism which is basically just cultural traditionalism with a minarchistic coat.

Stop conflating conservative thought with say right wing nationalism. Which can be anything from paleoconservatism to people in favor of military and civic tryannies.

Loosen up the the early sanctions that were placed on the EOJ in exchange for them brutalizing every bolshie in Asia in exchange for the US ignoring their atrocities in Hokaido, Korea and Mongolia? Most Americans were trying to feed themselves and didn't give a fuck about anything except how to make money even if that meant breaking the law.

FDR wasn't seen as a savior by Republicans or undecideds. He was just the guy who was there, that wasn't a useless hypocrite.
